  1. Not to mention the hardest part - conducting trainings, man management, pre-match and half-time team talks.. and tactics. He wouldn't last a month.
  2. There weren't many options, obviously it was a 3rd or 4th choice midfield pairing because of the circumstances. The sooner Lampard gets back the better, it puts Malouda further down pecking order.
  3. I thought about it yesterday why didn't we hold on to Clarke and promote Rodgers at some point. They would be people who know the club through and through from the academy to first team. Instead we opt for clueless people like Grant and Scolari who have zero knowledge of the club's roots and personnel outside first team.
  4. I remember in some newspaper they wrote how much money superstars make per minute and per second when playing... is there smth similar about Torres?
  5. Hmm, don't agree... I seriously hope for Ivan - Luiz - Terry - Bertrand why on earth would we start experimenting Ivan at LB when we have a natural LB Ryan ready to step up I don't know. plus you both Luiz on RB and unproven Cahill in centre.. this line has disaster written all over it with players out of position and a debutant.
  6. Luiz isn't as rash anymore as he used to be, but he still makes me nervous when he tries to outplay an opponent near our box.
  7. Had a look in wikipedia. Apparently FFP is on already, except the rules will come to force fully in 2015. 2012-2013 should be the first year with clubs financial books under FFP regulations. I read something interesting though: "In response, Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay insisted that the club were in "a strong position" to meet UEFA's initiatives and were on course to halve their losses during the following financial year, having reduced their player’s bonus scheme [...]" that explains the all-round laziness we see
  8. FFP we will have to offload considerably in order to afford those big signings.
  9. That's rather harsh. He started the season well but lately he's been visibly fatigued. Although he isn't excellent as in previous seasons, that's why I don't understand why he's being overused, surely his fatigue and decline in abilities is a cue to play Ryan more often.
  10. Drogba is a shadow, Torres is a ghost... one of them is understandable 'cause of age, the other is at his supposed peak. Anyway, if we're gonna play the same team as against Swans, then we're gonna lose. With Cole already absent, we NEED Terry and Lamps back for this to stand a chance.
  11. Pointless fact: we had 6 left footed players taking part of this game (Cech, Cole, Malouda, Mata, Sturridge, Lukaku)
  12. OUT: Bosingwa, Malouda, Kalou, Torres, Drogba, Essien (depends), Mikel, Ferreira everybody else we can keep afaic
  13. so, it's over... any recaps of which of the above transfer got finished?
  14. that is brilliant. i'm a fan of simple concepts.
  15. Yeah, I wrote earlier that maybe it has something to do that the team and our attacking movement was built around Drogba's abilities, so while he is at the club, the players know that if anybody else fails to adapt, there will always be Drogba to rely on. Maybe a subconscious block to play with strikers with different attributes. With every other striker I've felt we've played as if they were target men (we're currently playing on Torres's chest and feet... the same was basically with Sheva). That's why Drogba always got his place back. It's actually easier to play with a player like Drogba than with a player like Sheva or Torres.. they require more attention from others.
  16. I did write points why I think it would be better, that's hardly crying
  17. okay fair enough, this is something like a mini transition that inevitably comes along with every new manager.. but the real transition would be something else than what we're seeing now. hopefully it will kick off next season.
  18. You use the word "possibly" now, but before you used the world "clear". I can leave you with possibly, but clear it is not.
  19. yeah yeah, just stating my opinion on him... I know he's a specialist in his job and all, but we comment on politicians and governments every day, yet we know jack shit about their professions in reality.
  20. summary: Cahill, De Bruyne, Omeruo, Bamford and three 13 year olds from some club I can't remember anymore. it went well I guess.
