  1. This will always hurt, like the phantom goal for Liverpool in 2005.
  2. I forgot Big Phil appointed you as assistant coach, my mistake.
  3. We should just take the money while we can. It's pretty clear Lampard isn't happy, and I'm sure I'm not the only fan who wants Frank remembered at the Bridge for his heroics in matches rather than a dispute over wages.
  4. Saw this on Sky Sports News. Might have missed out in three finals and a league title this season, but he's no doubt scored a cracker here.
  5. A little reminder: he doesn't play for Chelsea, so he's bound to get away with mass genocide, rape, GBH, man slaughter, and the like.
  6. Still nothing official, but it seems his heart is set on going to Paris SG. Best of luck to him, he's been a faithful asset to the club and he's always a bundle of energy. Will always be remembered as an unsung hero and in my opinion, he was possibly the biggest factor of us winning the back to back league titles. CFC legend.
  7. Wayne will be remembered for two things at Chelsea: one, for scoring that goal against Arsenal, and two, for being a proper professional. It's difficult to be second choice to a colleague at both club and international player, but Wayne is a very determined and reliable player who is a fantastic asset to the squad. Brilliant to hear he is staying put.
  8. I agree, if he wants to go then so be it, let him leave with dignity and respect. We don't want another Gallas situation occurring, although this is unlikely with Frank.
  9. As Esk says, Ivanovic did not play at first because he was short of match fitness - we signed him two months after the Russian league finished. When he reached match fitness, he suffered an injury and it was back to square one. Nevertheless, expect to see a lot of him this pre season.
  10. The boy has undoubted ability, there is no question. My only concern is he isn't all that strong - can he cope with a world class fullback, such as Evra, closing him down?
  11. He is an exciting prospect, some cup performances last season indicated he has the ability to make it into our team and perform well.
  12. Spot on. The diving can be considered 'side effects' of being a top striker...
  13. It depends whether Scolari uses wingers or not. He said he will change his tactics to fit in the better players of the team, Joe falls into that category. As to how he will put him in, is to be seen.
  14. If the club are resigned to losing him, we have two options - sell him for £8-10 million this summer and rely on Deco and Ballack to get 20 goals between them, or let him stay one more year and allow him to leave on a free.
  15. And when you take that into consideration, it means we've basically spent on £12 million on both Bosingwa and Deco - that's very good business if you ask me.
  16. If he goes, then it is in his best interest and we can't grudge that. He is a Chelsea legend no matter the outcome of this transfer saga.
  17. I hope Joe finds himself played in a more central role. He is great as a winger but when he is marked by a good fullback, such as Evra, he can become lost on the wing and he often drifts out of games. As a centre midfielder he is much more involved and there is no better sight than seeing him charge at defenders.
  18. I certainly hope so. He's an exciting prospect.
  19. Spot on. The step up to PSV was perhaps to big a gap for him at such a young age, but Twente aren't that great a side and he will hopefully get a lot of playing time this campaign.
  20. Joe Cole isn't thought of in the same way because of his diving, due to the fact he isn't bitching about joining Mourinho every five minutes. I want Didier to stay, but I seriously hope Felipao doesn't stand for his nonsensical diving shit.
  21. Average kit, its unlikely we will be wearing it too often next year anyway. A bit bland, but I like the colour scheme.
  22. One of Paulo and Belletti is bound to be off, because we now have Bosingwa. Pizarro is likely to leave along with Tal Ben Haim and SWP's possible move to Portsmouth would be a brilliant move for him. But what excites me is that Scolari wants to trim the squad to bring though youngsters.
  23. That being said, he did an okay job when he was called into the team. Scored a cracker against Hull as well, his contribution was small yet effective, ultimately.
  24. Former England boss Steve McClaren has made his first signing at FC Twente after agreeing a one-year loan deal for Chelsea centre-back Slobodan Rajkovic. Link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7498528.stm
