To be fair, knowing what the tabloids are like, DD might have said he didn't want to sign for the Blues in 2004 and those quotes have just appeared again and again. I doubt he would talk to so many players, but it isn't the constant "I'm staying"/"I'm leaving" stuff that annoys me - its his diving. In 06/07 he cut it out and was arguably our most popular player.

I'm not too sure. He needed a season to settle in, like almost all players do. I think keeping him to January wouldn't be a bad option, especially as Drogba is injured at the moment and Sala is at the Olympics. He won't play alot, but we could flog him in January for a cut price I guess.

When Drogba is scoring goals, he is the best forward in the world. When he's diving around like a bull in a china shop, he's a complete twat. That's just his character. Regardless of the point he is here only because no other club wanted him - which is, IMO, a fallacy, as Drogba is an exceptional player - I think we can all agree a Chelsea with Drogba is better than one without him.

Correct. In shoot-outs, I would say Lampard and Ballack to have the first and fifth penalties, they are the most reliable. Ashley Cole and Kalou take good penalties as well, and so does Essien. Deco isn't half bad either, but I suppose in a pressure situation it is a lot more difficult.

Malouda is the better player. At Lyon, he was arguably one of the best wingers in Europe. He needed time to settle, like Ballack, like Drogba, like everyone. However, some people just can't accept the fact that professional footballers actually are human and therefore need time. So like Ballack, and like Drogba, he'll be an improved man next year. I don't see why SWP should be given a fourth year after failing to impress whilst Malouda has had only one.
