No, not yet. Of course he isn't. I just want to get this clear, FB - are you saying that for his transfer fee, he should be as good as Cech was for us? It just comes across that way.
-
Get JT in, if the players underperform he can shag their wives.

Better the devil you know...

Sat in the MHL for this one. It's going to be fun! #FuckSarriBall

From a technical point of view, we'd call it him being "flat-footed", a goalkeeper's set position should be almost on their tip-toes, with their weight coming forward. Kepa's footwork is very heavy, which is why for a few goals you see this season, his feet have been quite literally planted. Thibaut was the same, but his greater size and strength bailed him out quite often. It's an area of development. 100% agreed. He is one of the least aggressive goalkeepers in the entire division, even Leno attacks crosser better than Kepa does. But let's remember the last Spanish goalkeeper that came from Spain and ended up being quite useless. He's now the (in my opinion, behind Oblak) the second best keeper on the planet. I'm not saying Kepa is guaranteed to do the same, but he has unreal potential and Real wanted him initially, remember. He will only get better, especially when this clown leaves!
-
I'm not defending him massively... he was at fault for the second goal and as a keeper myself (who isn't the tallest, either), I'd have certainly tried to attack the cross for Herrera's goal. He's had some excellent moments for us, and they far outweigh the negative, but he has been shaky the past few months. Who wouldn't be after the stuffings we've suffered recently?
-
My god, he's been fucking horrendous the past few months.
-
He'll be off in the summer, but with another anonymous performance when the team need him most, I'm not sure it'll be to the likes of Real Madrid. I can't fault his effort tonight, but you need your leaders, your best players, to bring the fire in shitty situations like tonight. He tried, but failed to produce anything in 90 minutes.
-
I cannot abide watching him saunter down the wing, do his silly little roll-over, play the ball backwards and then moan about the lack of movement. I hope he fucks off, he wouldn't even get a game at Huddersfield.
-
He's done. Won't be there for Malmo on Thursday.
-
When your defence is as shit as ours, and the team is performing as poorly as it is, it's no wonder he's taken a dip with his own personal performances.
-
Sack him based on that Zappacosta sub alone. Nothing against David - but you're 0-2 down and he's more worried about Azpi getting burned for pace on the counter by Rashford than he is about scoring. That sums up his dogshit mentality and his frankly boring, hopeless football. Sarri out.
-
Can't moan too badly, it's a strong team considering we play again in 3 days.
-
The difficulty is that, unlike when Avram Grant "took over" - well, Clarke took over - the players, back then, didn't need any management. We had one of the best teams in the world. Now we have a bunch of clueless mercenaries.
-
No, he should have shaken his hand like a man, and within the spirit of the game. If Sarri gave a shit, he wouldn't keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result. That is the definition of insanity.
-
Agreed. You look to your "best" players for leadership, not to go down "injured". All we needed was him to sub himself off again, and we'd be back in 2015. I'm not singling him out, but he has no real backbone. No leadership skills. He is a luxury player and I wouldn't be upset about him going to Madrid for big money.
-
Let's not be silly. Jorginho is a square peg in a round hole in this team, and in this division. As part of a double pivot, he could be a very good player for seasons to come.
-
It was classless and frankly rude. Disgusting attitude.
-
Disgusting. Embarrassing. Naive. Clueless. But worst of all, absolutely shameful of him not to shake Guardiola's hand. Classless. I hope to god he's sacked. This squad should be comfortably top four. He's taken us backwards by about two years, as far as I'm concerned.
-
Many recent performances would disagree, Jason...
-
The latter. I know he has technical limitations, but the "Sarriball" to work, the two other midfielders need to graft, and Bakayoko fits the mould.
-
100% agreed! We can't judge much on the basis of three games, but Higuain's movement alone trumps any contribution Morata could make. We finally have a presence in the penalty area.
-
If we're being honest, that's pretty much by the by when you consider a - we're shit, and b - we're coming off the back of two straight hidings in the PL without scoring.
-
From the angles I've seen, the deflection added to the height of the shot, but I saw a reverse angle on Sky Sports, I genuinely think it was going into the side netting either way. Stunning goal. BUT the best bit about it was the fact he even tried it. Morata would have fallen over before combing his hair.
