Well that is possible. He barely got any games last season, but he scored 8 goals last season, which is still an important contribution. Plus in games such as Villa at home, he looked as good as ever. I'm sure he'll come good.

Wayne will be remembered for two things at Chelsea: one, for scoring that goal against Arsenal, and two, for being a proper professional. It's difficult to be second choice to a colleague at both club and international player, but Wayne is a very determined and reliable player who is a fantastic asset to the squad. As Esk says, Ivanovic did not play at first because he was short of match fitness - we signed him two months after the Russian league finished. When he reached match fitness, he suffered an injury and it was back to square one. Nevertheless, expect to see a lot of him this pre season.

The boy has undoubted ability, there is no question. My only concern is he isn't all that strong - can he cope with a world class fullback, such as Evra, closing him down?
