  1. I can't get round my head why Citeh are offering £5 million! I'd take the money and run
  2. Let's not get disillusioned. No player 'loves' their club. Would the likes of Terry and Essien be here if it wasn't for the money? It may appear as being loyal, but every man has his price. Drogba annoys me but he is a fucking world class player. If you can't accept the fact that a Chelsea with Drogba is a stronger side than a Chelsea with him, then I suggest booking an appointment with the doctor.
  3. Well that is possible. He barely got any games last season, but he scored 8 goals last season, which is still an important contribution. Plus in games such as Villa at home, he looked as good as ever. I'm sure he'll come good.
  4. Aye, went to the one in 2006 and had a good laugh. Problem for me is that its such an early start, considering I'm not a locally-based fan.
  5. We'll be bringing this up again next year when we win it in Rome
  6. Agreed, especially since we spent so much on Shevchenko who was two years older.
  7. When I say equal, I don't mean equal as a player, I mean he has an equal chance of being picked. No doubt he will get his chances early in the season and knowing Bridge, he'll most likely perform well and offer Felipao a big decision to make about the left back position.
  8. Cech to have Number 9, Drogba to get the number 1, JT can have 11 and we'll give Joey Cole 87 while we're at it Bit annoyed Paulo's number has changed, I had him on the white third kit we used from 03 to 05.
  9. Spot on. He was a success at Milan because Pirlo and Kaka supplied him with opportunities. Balley and Deco can do the same.
  10. £5 million for Ben Haim? Citeh must be desperate.
  11. If this news is true, it is excellent news. I've always been a fan of Sheva, I hope now he will get the chance he deserves. Nothing needs to be said about Riccy, he's world class and its a no brainer that we're better with him in the side.
  12. He's bound to, with LFS hoping to play more attacking football, his chances of becoming a regular are equal to Cole's, I would assume.
  13. Hell no. I'll be disappointed if we don't put a handful past them, especially as its Big Phil's first game.
  14. This will always hurt, like the phantom goal for Liverpool in 2005.
  15. I forgot Big Phil appointed you as assistant coach, my mistake.
  16. We should just take the money while we can. It's pretty clear Lampard isn't happy, and I'm sure I'm not the only fan who wants Frank remembered at the Bridge for his heroics in matches rather than a dispute over wages.
  17. Saw this on Sky Sports News. Might have missed out in three finals and a league title this season, but he's no doubt scored a cracker here.
  18. A little reminder: he doesn't play for Chelsea, so he's bound to get away with mass genocide, rape, GBH, man slaughter, and the like.
  19. Still nothing official, but it seems his heart is set on going to Paris SG. Best of luck to him, he's been a faithful asset to the club and he's always a bundle of energy. Will always be remembered as an unsung hero and in my opinion, he was possibly the biggest factor of us winning the back to back league titles. CFC legend.
  20. Wayne will be remembered for two things at Chelsea: one, for scoring that goal against Arsenal, and two, for being a proper professional. It's difficult to be second choice to a colleague at both club and international player, but Wayne is a very determined and reliable player who is a fantastic asset to the squad. Brilliant to hear he is staying put.
  21. I agree, if he wants to go then so be it, let him leave with dignity and respect. We don't want another Gallas situation occurring, although this is unlikely with Frank.
  22. As Esk says, Ivanovic did not play at first because he was short of match fitness - we signed him two months after the Russian league finished. When he reached match fitness, he suffered an injury and it was back to square one. Nevertheless, expect to see a lot of him this pre season.
  23. The boy has undoubted ability, there is no question. My only concern is he isn't all that strong - can he cope with a world class fullback, such as Evra, closing him down?
