  1. Ramires right wing, Sturridge through the middle, Kalou on the left, Mata in midfield. Its not too much to ask to play our two most influential players in their actual positions is it?
  2. Maybe if we all stop backing Torres and boo him, he'll pull his finger out? Haha, who am I kidding, he was finished before we even signed him, but that doesn't disguise the fact he has failed the club, and the fans.
  3. Whether you agree or not, Neymar is playing in Brazil whilst Hazard will move to the world's strongest league in the summer and Gotze is playing for the champions of Germany.
  4. We have a thread called the "TRANSFER WISHLIST THREAD", where players we're not linked with are to be discussed.
  5. I was talking about both, actually. Ayew and Azpilicueta.
  6. Very good post Meera, totally agreed on all accounts. I've always liked him as a squad player, plus he is still relatively young.
  7. Carroll has something like 3 in his last 7, whereas Torres has 0 in 20.
  8. They did that with Courtois, I imagine. Mainly because Asenjo is far too good to be on the bench. I just think Atletico got lucky with how good Thibaut actually is
  9. I think if we offered £15m plus Drogba, Marseille would bite our hands off.
  10. Gotze is a brilliant player. He's only 19 but he has the maturity of someone like Xavi.
  11. RVP is Arsenal's top scorer. He is also their best player. Lampard is our (joint) top scorer. He has been one of our most inconsistent, and at times worst players this season. Scoring goals is only half of what it takes to be a great midfielder. You need to be a commanding presence, and Lampard is no longer that. Ergo he is no longer a great midfielder, merely a good one, and an ageing one at that.
  12. I agree. He shouldn't be our outstanding player, but he should be appreciated for his qualities. He is the love-child of Essien and Makelele.
  13. He only played it once there, I believe, against Sporting (not 100% sure on this though), and it was only for 45 minutes. However he is made for the modern-day full-back role. Quick, agile, athletic, tenacious and with plenty of attacking quality. Plus his errors are less costly on the flanks than in the centre.
  14. People didn't say the same of Makelele, who is simply a more-refined version of a young man still learning his trade. Ramires is a brilliant player.
  15. Stunning set of kits for England there. Definitely getting the GK one.
  16. Hart Richards/Smalling - Lescott/Jones - Cahill - Baines Parker © - Milner Gerrard Sturridge - Welbeck Rooney

  18. Chelsea FC vs Bolton PRE-MATCH CHAT AND LIVE DISCUSSION Saturday 25 February 2012 - FA Premier League - Stamford Bridge - 3pm kick-off GMT
  19. Definitely needs to move on unless he is willing to sit on the bench. If not, he can sod off, legend or not he is becoming a spoilt kid and a disruptive influence in the camp.
  20. Sacking AVB and hiring Rafa makes sense, we need a coach with massive Europa League experience.
  21. Yes, I've just watched the replay of the Marseilles-Inter match and he was a stand-out player in a dour encounter. I was surprised by his defensive qualities, they far exceed any right-back in the EPL I can care to think of.
  22. I wish to God that AVB would play Luiz as a full-back. He'd be brilliant there, in my opinion. Great technical ability and a good pass/cross/shot on him. I made a post more than a year ago saying that's where he should be playing.
