  1. ^ really enjoyed that read. Thanks.
  2. The editing thing should be alright now. Looks like the permissions had been changed to leave 5 minutes to edit a post.
  3. Eto'o for £5 million will score more goals than £50 million Torres.
  4. Liverpool and Suarez deserve one-another. Hope he rots there. Still has 7 games left of his ban, doesn't he?
  5. I wouldn't take that as gospel. He's trying to woo Wayne, to show he's wanted here. Of course Mourinho has other options lined up!
  6. As I said earlier in this thread, DDR at £10 million for 2-3 years would be fantastic business. But it's likely Roma will command an inflated fee, and now we have MvG for potentially 5-6 years in that position, do we need him? Nope. Spend the money elsewhere.
  7. As much as I was for this signing, United won't sell unless they big in a big star. Then they'll command a massive price as it will be late in the window and we'll be desperate. I can't see it happening. Time to give Demba Ba a fraction of the support you've all given Torres, and let's give Lukaku the opportunity to shine.
  8. He's a very good striker with all the attributes to make it in the Premier League. He's surprisingly fast for a big man, as well. Superb technique and strong on the ball, he'd definitely be a superior option to Torres. But if I recall correctly he is already 30/31, and Benfica would command a huge price.
  9. ^ No, because for every one cuntish post, some people make some incredible emotion-fuelled posts that makes everyone feel much better.
  10. Let's keep to Wayne Rooney, please.
  11. I'm actually pretty sure it says "thank fuck I didn't sign for Arsenal".
  12. Great, Iwannabitch at right-back. That means no-one fucking closing anyone down for another season. The one thing Rafa did right was play Azpilicueta with regularity. Mainly because Ivanovic-Luiz is by distance our best centre-back pairing.
  13. Looks like it. Especially anyone who plays for Tottenham or Arsenal.
  14. One instance in a half-dozen. We nearly lost to Wigan in 2005/06, and it took an absolute fluke from Drogba to beat Hull last time round. If the players have a good mindset heading into this game, then we'll win it 2-0 or 3-0, with a degree of comfort. Act as they did on multiple occasions last year against lesser teams and we'll struggle to sneak a 2-1.
  15. It's nothing to do with that. I'm a goalkeeper, trust me. It's Mark thinking he's a brilliant player and should be playing in the number 10 role - he's trying to control the ball without looking. When it comes off, as a keeper you look like an absolute boss. When it doesn't... well... that happens! Been there and done that several times in the 12 years I've played!
  16. I do say so. If it ends up 5-0 on Sunday I'll ban myself and make Terminator X an admin.
  17. What wages the players "earn" is irrelevant. Neither you or I am paying them.
  18. ^ 5-0? Not a chance. Hull have absolutely nothing to lose and yet have the chance of causing a major upset. They will go hammer and tongs at this game to prove themselves. Games on the opening day against newly-promoted sides have never been easy. Ever.
  19. If he can be signed for £10m then yes, absolutely.

  22. I don't think that I like the new kit font for European matches. It's very boring and standardised. I loved the chunky fonts we've had previously:
  23. He's improving constantly. Let's see how this season goes for him, though. Of course, Cole is one of Mourinho's favourites - but one hopes José will never player Ryan on the wing. 10 games next season at LB is better than 25 games on the wing in terms of his career progression.
  24. I'm glad no-one has come in here slagging him off saying "we should have kept Turnbull"... yet, anyway! First person who does it gets the Mjolnir treatment!
  25. LOL at Schwarzer's mistake. I've done that before so I can sympathise completely!
