Without him we wouldn't have made it through the group. That's the point, he might "fail" as you call it for Belgium but he still delivers the assist or decisive dribble leading to a goal more often than not. Chadli is well, Chadli.
He was pretty shit you know, but he always is for Belgium. The thing that bothers me is the quality of the replacement knowing you'll get nothing from that nonfootballer while Hazard can always come up with something that can win you the game. Quarter final, 15 mins to go.. madness.
He's not nearly as good as you think he is if you'd consider playing him over Hazard. Immense talent but still very inconsistent. I'd wanted more cameos but Wilmots likes Chadli.
Sure, blame Hazard. He only needed 1 moment, still had 15 mins. We always pressure the oppnent in the last 10 mins. Absolute madness to bring that shit from Spurs
It's unbelievable really, twice in the last 20 mins as well. Wilmots is the biggest liability of this NT but will be hailed by the new legion of pseudo fans saying he took them far
I'm sure he's trembling in fear. Sell one of them, there's no other realistic solution. edit; except another loan I suppose, I half expected him to be involved in the Costa deal
Needs to be more lively, that's the only criticism i've got. Should be our main man (NT), not KDB. First guy his teammates should be looking for a pass, always. Even if his dribbles fail he'll have them confused and disorganized so others can take advantage.
Look I'm not gonna try and defend his attitude in the media because it's frankly embarrasing, but I'm sure in reality he knows he isn't good enough yet to be first striker at a top club. The difference between him and other young players is that he runs his mouth. A 21 year old is bound to say naive and stupid crap, what's astonishing to me is that noone seems to care to stop him. Ofcourse fans take things personally and expectedly (and maybe deservedly) he gets mocked for playing 2 bad games. People are laughing at his poor technique at the minute, but then you think about his age and what he's achieved and I can't help but wondering where he'll end up and perhaps become a very good striker. I just don't think it will be here. He's lost the fans already and has barely played a game for us
Lol at all the hate, I understand where it's coming from but still fucking funny. He's rather average apart from his goals, most 21 yo's are though and I hope he becomes the complete striker he wants to be wherever he goes.
Had a quick look: Gillet, Deschacht, Swerts, Martens, Simons, Sonck and De Camargo played that game, with De Sutter and Lamah as substitutes. Hardly this generation... Advocaat wasn't even coach then, Vercauteren's last game.
