It's not like he runs to the press every chance he gets to talk about Madrid, it's mostly during international breaks where (oftten Belgian) journalist ask him the same questions. Should he avoid them? He probably should, but he's too friendly. Concerning his new deal: You don't know how his contract negotiations are going, so not sure why you say he's unwilling. He's at a crossroads in his career, he's at the right age to look for that last supertransfer, but then for the first time at Chelsea he has a coach that plays to his strengths while promising signings have been made. Surely you can see the difficult choice he has to make?

Take away his flirting with Madrid (pretty much since he joined us) and you get the most level-headed, modest pro you could imagine. People are starting to get nervous because he hasn't signed da ting yet

I won't pretend I saw every game from Roma last season, from what I've seen he's a good shot stopper and really good with his feet. Average coming off his line and commading his area. He has one good season under his belt. Many players are unable to replicate their "breakthrough" season. I might be underrating him, he's made the most of his chance to play after Sczesny (spelling) left for sure, but let's wait to put a pricetag of 70 million on a goalies head after such a short period.

He's a good goalie, don't get me wrong. He'd probably do well for most clubs. He's not even close to Courtois / Lloris / De Gea though

He wasn't terrible at all lol, he didn't hold on to 2 relatively easy shots early on, but it caused no danger whatsoever. Belgium on the other hand were terrible, except for Hazard

Well yes of course, my point is that Hazard has given these "we'll see what happens" answers since the start of his chelsea career, and he's been here for 6 years now. There's no questioning his loyalty imo. If he wants to go I'm sure he'll do it by the book. I'm not talking about Courtois, he's a bit vile, different situation
