I'd say let Lukaku start in the CF position! Then we have at least one player on the pitch who will run his (BLUES) heart out and play with passion for this club!!

2013/2014 -------------------------Courtois---------------------- --------Ramos---- Kompany-----Terry----- Cole------ ----------------------Fellaini-------------------- -------------Debruyne-------------Mata----------- ----Sturridge-----Lukaku--------Hazard------- Invasion of the Belgians :champions:. That said... would be an amazing team!!!

I will save you some time . Here's a good video about the talents that are already playing at high level! We already have Courtois & Lukaku @ Chelsea... De Bruyne & Hazard to follow ? Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FP-oxGFFdi0

For those who would like to see his goals. That's right guys... he has an amazing accurate & powerful shot with BOTH feet! 2 assists & 3 goals in a few days... Debruyne's back from his injury!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1JXl1Yg7Vc

If we want to make the Brigde the 'garden of Eden'... we will have to act quickly. According to the reliable French Newspaper L'Γ©quipe Qatar Sports Investments (the owners of PSG football club in Paris) have given their permission to make a bid of β¬50 million!! http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/breves2011/20111026_075635_psg-50m-pour-hazard-en-janvier.html

Here's a good video to answer your question imo. This video is a compilation of his match against the scousers last year. I like this video because it shows more or less ALL eden's touches that game. Not your typical: "amazing skills or goals compilation" but just the real thing. Gives a good impression of what you can expect he would bring to the bridge. Although Hazard wouldn't be Hazard if he didn't pull of a trick or two in every game... so you might like seconds: 2.45' , 4.12' , 7.35' & 7.57' . I also read a lot of posts where people are doubting which position he plays... I think this video gives a clear answer to that question! He starts as a left or right winger. But you will find him almost anywhere on the pitch the next 90 minutes . This is the case in practically every game I've seen from him. BTW he actually scored two goals that night AND should have been rewarded a penalty kick. Ready for the EPL? He owed the scousers on his own... and that was last year. He improved a lot since then. So yes, I think he's ready!! ps: he's playing number 26 with the yellow shoes (and the quick feet ).

Rom having some fun at training with Daniel & Salomon. Also they find out the hard way what a picking order means when you work with older guys !

Problem is we kinda have a lot of young talents at the moment . Lukaku sure is one of them. But he, just like De Bruyne, is very young and still have to wait for their moments to really break through on the big stage. Both Mertens & especially Hazard have proven they're absolutely ready to measure themselves with the best in Europe at this moment. btw. to sum things up about talents in belgium: Goalkeepers: Courtois, Mignolet Defenders: Kompany, Vermaelen, Vertonghen, Alderweirld, Lombaerts Midfielders: Witsel, Defour, Fellaini Wingers: Hazard, Mertens, Dembele, Debruyne, Chadli, El-Ghanassy Attackers: Lukaku, Mirallas, Vossen Still to come Thorgan Hazard (eden's brother), Jordan Lukaku (romelu's brother), Dennis Praet & as far as I've heard 2 of the very best youngsters in Europe: Charly Mussonda Jr & Zakaria Bakkali. The future surely looks bright for Belgian Football!!!

http://www.sporza.be/permalink/1.1125934 Luckily Romelu still hasn't forgotten how to score ! At practice with the national team!
-
The next big thing in Holland (and of course Belgium!) he already scored 11 goals in only 7 matches + gave 3 assists. Together with Eden Hazard, Mertens is seen as the biggest talent in Belgium at the moment.
-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6X6O_uabnw his goal against Kazakhstan with the Belgian national team last friday (his 1st goal as an international!). Also remember the name of Dries Mertens (assist). This guy is the next big thing in Belgium & Holland. Scored already 11 goals and has 3 assists in only 7 games for PSV Eindhoven!
-
Romelu will not be in the starting 11 for tonights EC qualifier against Kazachstan. Igor De Camaro of Borussia MΓΆnchengladbach will take his spot as CF. Let's hope Romelu can act as a supersub, a role he should play for the upcoming months at the Bridge as well! For the fans who would like to see him loaned out in January. Give this lad a chance will you? I bet if Mata would have given an assist in his 1st game instead of scoring himself, nobody would be shouting it's too early for Romelu to play in this Chelsea squad!
-
What are you all complaining about international friendlies As far as I know, almost every country plays a EC 2012 qualification game (& some also a friendly)! :541: Totally agree with the fact they take the rythm out of the competition!
-
No in that case I would buy him now. Put him in the reserve team and wait how he develops. If he (and he surely looks prospect full) plays a great season at Anderlecht (by the way he's still not in the A-team at the moment)... With all the fuzz about the name Lukaku... Chelsea will pay 15 times the price of today!! I think this is more something between brothers. As his older brother supports Chelsea... that was not available anymore so he choose the next best thing... being Arsenal . I have always heard that both Romelu & Jordan would love to play in the same team one day. Until now this only happened in a friendly game this summer against Brussels. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwZsqNIrs0E&feature=related ps: Dennis Praet! A name to remember for the future! And even more Charly Musonda JR !!! :blue scalf:
-
Jordan Lukaku is not really a forward player. He plays LB or LM. He looks very prospect full so for Chelsea nothing would be wrong to do bargain with him... just before he starts playing at Anderlechts 1st team and will cost Millions more
-
And boy, was he ready to score his first goal at the Bridge in Mata's action ! But good to see Mata also had a great debut!! New signings did well!!! And big up for AVB to have the balls to bring them both today!!
-
Great debut! Very confident and demanding the ball at anytime... Good to see he set up some good combinations with the wingers! And how present can you be in a 15 minute subsititution ! Still can do a lot better!
-
Loan him out in Jan? Don't think so ! Good debut! Good to see he was so confident to demand the ball at any time. Still can do a lot better, believe me !!
-
I think it's too difficult to compare him with Drogba, Bent or Adebayor. It's just Lukaku... with his way of moving and playing. Certainly not an Adebayor. Ok they're both tall and black... but there the comparision stops. Adebayor has really thin and long legs which makes him look like an elegant high heel runner . Bent is more in the direction of the way Lukaku moves but still far off. Don't forget we compare a 5'11" & 165lbs dude with a 6'23" & 206lbs massive dude Drogba also is somewhere in the direction of Romelu... but still isn't comparable to the style of Lukaku. Lukaku is more about power. Drogba is more about finesse. Just think of Lukaku as being a massive tank (of a body) who is suprisingly fast, has a very powerful left foot and just pushes his way through the defenders. But still has good technique!! You will be suprised by his quickness of feet and skills for such a big guy!

This is of course something that has different opinions. He has been playing in Lille since 2007, what makes it 4 seasons in the first team (only 4 games in his 1st year). In my opinion he made a huge progress every year. First by scoring in his debut performance against St-Etienne. Later by eliminating star team Lyon with 2 assists and a goal, after this shining in Europe against Genua & even Liverpool. He has won the french cup & the french league now. He got award of most promising talent in 2010 & this year he got the award of best player overall in the french league. Of course there is always room for discussion whether or not he is ready for a next step... But if you see his palmarès, I think it's more than fair to say he can try to get one step higher. I'm sure with his talent he can quickly adapt to Chelseas or Arsenal's level. Of course being belgian myself... , with all respect for the french league & Lille, II wish for our biggest talent in Belgium to make this big step to a bigger club.
-
Every time a ball is send in deep and you think the pass is to wide so the defender will without any doubt be the first on the ball... Lukaku almost always seems to have that extra acceleration it needs to get on the ball first. He really amazes me time after time! And not just once... I think I saw more than 30 games with him in it. Conclusion: YES, He is really fast!!!
-
IF he would be on the bench all the time, I agree with you he rather should stay in Lille. But why do you think he would lose himself at Arsenal? He has proven himself in the french league and clearly is ready for a new level! And I'm sure he is ready for a new level! I don't see him coming to Arsenal to sit on the bench...
-
Now I read that Lille's manager says he really isn't for sale! And that he's at least twice the value of Nasri. Even a β¬ 30 million offer of Arsenal would not be enough for Lille! They state that Lille has already lost important players and that now the team is build up around Hazard. Furthermore he says that Nasri's contract was in his last year... Eden is still under contract until 2015! *** Lille. I really hope they let him go there... He has nothing to learn anymore in the French League!
-
I don't have a specific article to link to... but I have read this in Belgian press a number of times now in the past two years. Everytime he's been ask what team he would like to play for... he answers that Arsenal would be a good team for him. BUT there is a big difference in Eden's love for Arsenal compared with the love that Lukaku has for Chelsea. It's not that eden sleeps with a shirt of Van Persie ! How I feel it... he likes the way Arsenal plays... but of course also loves to play in another big team in the pl.
