  1. newcastle sill need to play us and city away!
  2. Essien is truly past it, awful on the pitch. And to top it off, watching him smile when we conceded made me cringe!
  3. Is 7 goals and 12 assists in 24 starts (17 full 90 mins) really all that bad?
  4. Atleast this will cheer you guys up: NO BOSINGWA
  5. For those saying who was 'solid' defensively, take a look at the goal that we conceded. His positioning at the near post is a joke...
  6. ANY Future Chelsea team MUST HAVE NO BOSINGWA or MALOUDA!
  7. Trust me I am one of the biggest Drogba fans on here but mate he has been a shadow of the player he once was. His touch recently has been nothing short of embarassing, can't attack the ball like he was doing before and even gets bullied off the ball (take the Newcastle game before their defender went off due to injury). Put it simply, he isn't cut out for the kind of play Roman wants (via AVB) now. Yes, Torres has failed BUT he hasn't had the best service either. Tell me, when was the last time any of our players put him through. Spending 90 minutes each week without getting even half a ball played through is frustrating to say the least. When you see the likes of Bosingwa, Malouda and Sturridge shooting on sight and simply refusing to play you through, it doesnt surprise me that his confidence is shot (last minute today when he got the ball and could've run at the two defenders). Strikers get confidence by getting goals. Take rooney's goals last season against City and WestHam which opened the floodgates and galvanised United towards the end of last season. We need Torres to do the same and putting him on the bench to play Drogba who will likely leave in 5 months time is madness...
  8. I'll shoot anyone who says BOSINGWA has scored. It was an own goal!
  9. From now on, I refuse to watch Chelsea if Bosingwa and Malouda start for Chelsea!
  10. I hope malouda and meireles get injuries so that essien and piazon can get a runout! A bit harsh I know but its the only way they are ever getting on the pitch...
  11. Feck you bosingwa! When was the last time ANY of our midfielders set up a chance for our attack?
  12. Surprised Mceachran hasn't got a shout yet...
  13. So our board wasn't that stupid afterall? Nice to know that we'll atleast get something back for Tore and can get Rajkovic in the future via a buy-back clause.
  14. And while we're at, can we please give Josh a start for a change!
  15. Emmm, like what exactly? This is what Lampard has been doing since he had that injury at the start of last season: 1) Get the ball while he is facing the opponent's goal 2) Look up, sees a player chasing him down 3) Knows he can no longer outrun or dribble from them 4) Turns back and passes it to JT, Romeu OR ( ) 5) Turn left and passes it to Cole 6) If bosingwa/cole or mata do manage to somehow drive our team forward, watch him run into the box like old times desperate to score. Don't get me wrong, those lampard-esque runs are what has made him such a phenomenal player over the last decade but he always had more to his game in the past. He was never the kaka/zidane type of player who could run 30 yards or so and dribble past two or three players, but he could always play in those neat, incisive passes up to Drogba/Anelka (remember the villa game two seasons ago), put sneijder-esque balls over the defenders into CF's path, could score from outside the box/freekicks ( ). As much as it hurts me to say this, he is now a shadow of a player he once was! Yes, he'll make those runs into the box and maybe get onto the end of crosses but playing 99% of your game in the middle of the park, 40 yards away from the front three is what makes our play so stagnant. I swear next time Chelsea play with him in our starting eleven, watch his general overall play and the positions he has started taking up in the middle of the park around the 40-45 yard mark, left of the centre spot mark. Compare that to 2 or 3 seasons ago and it might just click into place. And please don't start blaming AVB for this, if its down to formations, mind explaining why lampard is usually behind romeu, right next to cole or terry these days when we have the possesion and are literally passing it about around the centre circle. The thing I find quite sad is how Lampard insists on starting every match when he can accept that at 34 years old, he can start playing the role Scholes did at United and help the club through mentoring young players and having 30 mins cameos when we need someone to come on and consolidate a lead! He is past it and its time we moved on... There, I said it
  16. Will essien be back for our next game?
