Against norwich: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuqBBRXxFc8&feature=g-u-u&context=G288c73cFUAAAAAAAEAA I think the Swansea fans do have a point that he did not offer him self for passes as much as needed. I'm not sure DM is the best place for Josh. BTW he plays a through ball @ 3:00 that feels just like an orgasm!

I'd take his family hostage and tell him he'll have to score a hat-trick if he ever wants to see any of them again.
-
Interesting stat: Ivory cost are still looking for their first gaol ever in an ACoN final despite this being the third one they played.
-
DD did brilliantly to set up Yaya but the latter missed an absolute sitter.
-
Swansea fans are not thrilled so far. It hasn't helped his cause that he played in all the matches they lost. What surprised me is the Swansea fans saying that his tackling is not good enough; His physical strength may not be up to the level of PL yet but I always thought his tackling was excellent. Hope he does better in his next game, or at least that Swansea win the game.

Yeah the commentator just said that this was supposed to be his last match before retiring...poor lad.
-
Didier consolidating the zambian player who was crying for having leaving the pitch 10mins into the match. Absolute legend.
-
Good to know
-
I honestly don't remember him when he played for us, but I've heard a lot about him. Isn't he sill the only african to have won it?
-
Very tragic. I had no idea.
-
He will always be remembered as a blue legend.

As a Chelsea fan it's hard to be unbiased but I always thought DD was the complete striker. He's the perfect target man, one of the most clinical finishers (arguably one of the best in history with his back to goal) and more importantly he is an excellent team player who can creat for his teammates ( and I don't just mean assists).

@Sloth less than 30 mins. Good luck drogs.
-
For the money we spent on Nando we could have bought Swansea and their stadium, and yet they play better football than us!
-
Wow, that's actually pretty accurate. Of course I have doubts about andre, I think it's only normal. And although I would probably wet my pants with joy if Low came, I firmly believe that right now, sticking with andre is the right choice for the long run ( I think )

Yep, the final against Zambia in an Hour and 45 mins (19:30 GMT). Not sure if it's on tv...should be though.
-
Hmmm, good point there. But it works fine on FIFA!
-
Should be, his last game at the ACoN is today.

I honestly don't think that Romelu and DD are that similar other than their physical strength (and their looks perhaps). I think every one got a bit carried away with the "new drogba" comparison. Romelu's pace could compensate Droba's lack of it, while DD can create some space for lukaku to run at defenders. Just think how hard these two would be to mark in the box..almost impossible imho.

1)I did not say I support him because he is young. I said him being young means that he can still learn a lot and gain valuable experience, coupled with his great potential that he proved at porto could turn him into one of the best managers in the world. 2)That is matter of opinion and thus is relative to how you see it, but most members seem to agree that this is the worst squad we've had since the late 90s. 3)You left out Romeu who is an excellent talent and Curtois who is currently breaking every goalkeeping record at athletico. Mata's position is irrelevant to the fact that Andre had the vision and eye for talent to bring here one of our best signings in along while, though I could argue that mata's position "crisis" is due to our thin squad. 4)I did not say he is the heart of the revolution but rather at the heart of it. Diference: He is not the one that started it and leading it through, but rather a person who has been here from the start working to understand our problems in order to help plan the best way to see it through. Which led me to the claim that bringing a new manager would be wasting another 7 months because he would have to go through what Andre had since he came here. -The last sentence I don't really understand..
-
This is probably very far fetched, but I'd like to see: Turnbull Iva-Cahil-Luiz-Rayn Essien Danny- -Malouda Mata DD-Romelu
-
Mata? Can't see where you got that from. Anyways, we all agree that those players need replacing over the next year or so, but currently we don't have many alternatives. On the other hand, there is an 18yo who deserves a chance at a start and who has shown desire and determination in the numbered minutes he has featured for the club, ready to replace Torres in the starting lineup.

Attempt at logic (please dispute it if you think something is wrong) : We should not support the manager because he makes mistakes. All humans make mistakes and all managers are human. ===> We should not have any manager? No, that can't be right.. I guess the point that most the members are trying to make is that we still have faith Andre because: 1) He is bright and young and has the potential to become one of the best managers in the world. 2) His working conditions have been far from perfect with our current squad. So he has been unable to put his philosophy in parctice and show his managerial qualities. To quote Zolayes: " Andre is expected to make omelettes with no eggs." 3)His signings and his tactics at the start of the season have proved, imo, that there are very few managers who are more fit to lead the club through this overhaul. 4)He has been at the heart of the current "revolution" at the club, even if it is still at the beginning. Sackng him now and bringing a manager who knows nothing about the players and the clubs problems whould be throwing 7 months down the drain.
