Absolutely. That's why I firmly believe AVB won't get the axe. In previous managerial changes, we were in the race tittle; we'd change the man at the helm, new-manager-syndrome kicks in and we get a few results that catapult us back on track for the title race. This time it is different. The objective is a team overhaul. The process has already started and Andre is at the heart of it all. If a new manager comes in, he'd have practically no knowledge of the players and the team's issues and problems and we'd have thrown 6 months down the drain. I think/hope Roman realizes that, for the sake of our club.

I realise stats are sometimes miss leading, but the man is our top scorer this season and third best assister, that has to account for something. Yes he is not the player he was 2 years ago, but he remains a much better option in the middle than Raul or Malouda. His goals alone should be enough for him to start atm because our forwards are not delivering. I think we need to apreciate Lamps a bit more, not for being a legend or what he did for the club but for what he is currently doing. Any PL team would beg to have Frank in their ranks .

Harsh...very harsh. I thought he was thrown in today too early and was not ready. You could tell he was not 100% fit.

The only thing that made me smile in todays game was when Rayn put in a delicious cross and Romelu showed a true strikers instinc to react before anyone else and nearly scored if not for an excellent save by Howard. Two things we haven't had at chelsea all season: good crossing and true strikers. It was really a breathe of fresh air.

^^ It looks like Pep has given up on winning the league. He brought on youth players instead of Xavi or Fabregas at 2-0 down.

This might be the emotions speaking but I think some of the points in this topic are rather harsh. About his performance today, I thought he was thrown in there before being ready and 100% fit. You can tell that he was unable to run too much and rarely made his trade mark runs in the box. But despite that he was no where near our worst man on the field (thanks to bosingwa and dare I say Petr) In all honesty, despite his age and decreasing energy, I'd still rather have Lamps start than Raul or malouda(in the middle) any day of the week. If anything I'd say he is what we have been missing recently, and that is a game winner. I'm not worried about Lamps though, if anyone has the ability to make an unexpected return to form it is him. I mean, how manny times has he been written off in the past couple of years?

No I think he is the best manager in the league. I predict he will 30 trophies with us over the next 15 years. I just didn't understand this single substitution he mad (possibly because I'm not smart enough)
