Have we really started talking about our players after Jose signs?! Whether he'll return here or not, one thing is for sure, the media will try to milk this to the maximum. You better pace yourselves, because he will be signing, according to the papers, for half a dozen teams before the summer.

I'd love to see a pivot of Josh and Chalobah. I've been saying for a while that the type of player we need next to the DM should be exactly like Josh. EDIT: For example, Josh's best games here at Chelsea were when he played next to Oriol against Everton and Fullham in the League Cup last season. He was given freedom to roam and license to go forward and in both games he was probably the best man on the pitch.

They don't make many players of Silva's ilk, tbh. But yeah, Luiz is hitting form for club and country (except for a few lapses of concentration). Need him to keep this form for the rest of the season if we are to achieve our objectives.

Yeah I can see that being true. But even then I doubt the club or Jose would make it public.

Don't be naive. Jose would never quit Madrid to come coach in the EL. He has his image as the best manager in the world to worry about.

Tonight's U21 match really highlighted the difference between Josh and Nathanial. Chalobah is the kind of physical presence you want in your midfield. Very dominant and knows when to pick his forward runs. His defending was very good as well. Josh on the other hand is the kind of player who controls the tempo brilliantly. His best asset is and has always been his passing. Great accuracy and vision that is matched by none. He's not as aggressive as Nathanial and is more disciplined (although I'd like to see him given a bit more freedom to go forward). His technical abilities are also outstanding. His off the ball movement was excellent tonight (especially in the first 30 mins). Two very different players, and there is no reason what so ever that both can't make it here.

Yeah the game turned into a contest between the front three to try and beat players and score after the 4th goal. But before that, Josh was doing very well. Excellent passing and movement off the ball.

Probably because the pic Wilshere is from this season when he's, what? 20? 21? While that picture of Josh was probably when he was 16 (look at the kits, his face, the fact that PVA is next to him..)
