I love the subs he made. He was very smart in trying to keep the most number of players fresh, especially the players who will be key against PSG: Lampard, Luiz, Eden, Schurrle and Willian.

I think Friedel was unfairly dropped when he was having arguably his best season solely because of Lloris's price tag. He's an amazing keeper on his day, and as didierforever said can be excellent with teams with a certain system. But he's a bit too "erratic" for my taste. Anyway, to get back on topic, I'd take Thibaut over Lloris any day of the week.

I think we can all agree that he won't be first choice here next season. Hence, if we get a 30-35m bid for him, then I can see the reasoning behind selling him. Of course it would be a shame to lose a young player with such great potential, but as great as potential is, sometimes you just need a top player in his prime. And the reported value can fund the signing of one.

Right about now I'd honestly take recalling him back to play striker instead of Torres.

We tend to remember the best (and the worst) but rarely the average, and he did have a lot of pretty average performances in his first season. In fact, his consistency has improved a lot this season but obviously still needs to improve even more. Eden can be so brilliant at times that we tend to forget that he's still a work in progress.

Proper attitude by Pete. On the hand, Thibaut's attitude should be that he wants to come here in the summer or next year and fight for the starting spot by proving that he's the best keeper at the club.
