I have to disagree with the bold part. Why would it not be something sustainable? Jose has defined a role for the number 10 position. It's not like we are dependent on the ability of one player and our system would break down if he was injured is having a bad game like we were dependent on Mata last season. Willian have played the exact same role several times already this season to the same success and even KDB did it in preseason. So as long as we can play players like Oscar and Willian in that position who are capable of fulfilling the role, I see no reason why it can't be sustainable and long term.

Yeah, I thought he had a bad day. I wonder if he's sick or something because he just didn't seem up to his usual concentration levels. He lost the ball dangerously a few times and didn't track the runner in a couple of occasions as well. Needs to do better but I don't think he'll lose his place to Mata, especially not against a physical side like Westham.

Whoever bet on that must have made a fortune!

Jose hasn't seen him nearly enough in midfield to think that he does better than the other options we have. He thinks that he may be able to do a better job which is completely different. On any account, since he is the special one as you pointed out, I doubt that after today we'll be seeing Luiz in midfield again unless it is absolutely necessary.

I think it was completely deserved. He completely took Young (?) out when the guy had already lost the ball. Ask Jose. I think he just went with form after Luiz had a good game against Hull.

Btw, is it me or is his son technically very good on the ball for his age?!

Nearly gave me a heart attack in the first half. Needless yellow card and then he kept on getting on the wrong side of players and I was sure he would eventually catch someone and get a second yellow. Luiz in midfield is not good for my nerves..

Exactly this. He was out of position A LOT today, but still had a pretty good game overall. Azpi on the right and Cole on the left is our best fullback combination, IMO.

I said at the start of the season that the title will be between them and City Arsenal because they had the stability and continuity and City because they had the best squad.

I didn't see the spending coming, but I thought that Arsenal would do terrific this season because they are the only team in top four who didn't change managers in the summer.

I think that Rooney's and RVP's absence might actually make it a bit tougher for us. Obviously they are their two best players and they will lack a lot in attack in their absence, but had they played, utd would have had much more belief that they can get something and would have gone and attacked us. I fear that without Rooney and RVP they will sit back and try to do to us what we did to them at old traford. We do much better against teams that attack us than against ones that come for a draw.

Or some people actually believe that football isn't about the money but about the people. That's it's about the fans, the players, the managers...etc. Kevin did nothing to harm the club or the fans. He did nothing to show that he isn't a perfectly nice human. It's only common decency to want him to do well.

Did really well as did the whole Villa defense. They only conceded from a lapse of concentration during stoppage time and a dive from Suarez.
