  1. He also lacks pace as he is originally a CB not RB. Mata can take advantage of that.
  2. I just hope Iva can keep up with the united pace at the back.
  3. first thing I notice: we have a tremendous advantage with smalling against Mata.
  4. I agree. Good thing is that this fixture came early in the season and won't have as much influence on the tittle race as it did last season. I'd be really happy with a point.
  5. I can't get my self to watch the pre-match analysis...anyone else feeling this nervous?
  6. We have enough "why torres isn't scoring" threads so please don't turn this thread into another one. Returning to the intended topic. I think that our midfield is still our strongest point despite all the criticism to Lampard and Mikel...etc Great stats by the way Tomo.
  7. I know, that's why I didn't believe it ....No I think the rumor originates from the fact that Bill Clinton studied at Oxford Uni in UK and is known to be a soccer fan, so....2+2=5
  8. imo Bosingwa is fast and is one of the best RB in the league going forward but leaves spaces when defending, on the other hand Iva has proved that he can rape Nani. It's gonna be a tough call for AVB but I think whether Bosingwa or Ivanovic will play depends on AVB's decision to play a high line in defense (hopefully not) since Bosingwa is much better at playing a high line.
  9. I also heard a rumor once that Bill Clinton named his daughter Chelsea after the club....I didn't believe it though
  10. I have a feeling that AVB will surprise everybody with the lineup somehow. If you think about it he hasn't put identical lineups in any of our matches so far.
  11. I think if we can slow down the tempo the game will be ours. If it turns out to be a fast open game, I doubt we can match their pace.
  12. Maybe so (though not in the defense area since they don't have choices), but they lost momentum.
  13. Unfortunately not what we signed him to do. And to be realistic he hasn't been doing that in all the matches either, thus being inconsistent. I believe he can still succeed though and that every chelsea fan wants him too.
  14. I agree. Even more so seeing that they just escaped a defeat to benfica.
  15. Performance wise: Mata, he was absolute class in the movement and passing. Achievement wise: Torres, his 2 assists were crucially needed.
  16. With all do respect, I think you need to watch that second half again. I thought he was very involved in every play. And all the analyzers of the match on the channel I'm watching can't stop saying how Frank was the best man on the field since he came on.
  17. I'm pleased with the overall performance. Bayer played a great game make no mistake about that. They have a very strong and quick young midfield, we did very well to beat them especially without Terry and lampard and anelka for most of the match. Ballack gave them alot of stability in the middle and was able to slow us down with his experience. Would have loved to see him play against lampard who by the gave the best performance in a long time. Hope when our experience player return on sunday our performance will be even better.
  18. any one else see in the highlights of AVB Lampard hitting on the medical staff girl Eva in the background?
