Exit Costa enter Bellotti

Costa was diabolical for parts of the game. His strike on the own goal was something a 7 year old does. It's almost like he sees everything Eden does then think he can do it. Costa is far too ponderous and not a good enough dribbler to be a playmaking forward. He needs release the ball much more quickly and get into positions where he can be a goal threat.

The soccer IQ in here at times is embarassing.

Amazing that people still don't understand that Chelsea has issues in the midfield that kill the ability to properly use Hazard not to mention there is a distinct lack of quality in terms of creativity and technique all around the pitch. Hazard is is human he has bad games, but he's not getting the help he needs.

The problem is that Hazard is either having to come back the to midline to help crack pressure and he's getting 3-4 player surrounding him. The midfield passing against Liverpool was appalling save for Cesc's cameo. Matic Kante is far too limited as a pair. Chelsea needs someone like Cesc/Mousa Demeble who can can create space with passing or dribbing to draw men towards them and away from Hazard. I always find it odd that Hazard gets so much stick for having off games when he gets so little help. Messi Ronaldo have so much talent around them that if focus on them the rest of the team can win easily. Choke off Hazard and the offensive play looks stagnant at best unless Cesc is in there. I wish Conte would look at either a 3-5-2 or 3-4-1-2 with Hazard as a shadow striker or CaM to Costa and Batshuayi

Hazard needs help and stylistically he doesn't matchup with the current roster. He would thrive playing in an up tempo tiki taka system. He didn't have a great game but he was doubled and tripled in the game versus Liverpool.

Same old Hazard FC again. Everyone stands around and Hazard is running around trying to create when no else moves. Oscar is rubbish, Ivanovic is a championship RB at best and Costa is a black hole.

The pieces around Hazard don't fit. While team spirit was excellent it appears we're back to Eden FC again, which puts way too much pressure on Eden to deliver. Oscar was good tracking back but some the passes he made on the offensive end were shambolic. Still need more tiki taka type players to play with Eden. P.S. Eden and Messi together would break soccer.

Hazard is having to come back to the midline to carry because no else is capable of initiating any offense. For Christian Fuchs sake can we please sell Oscar, Willian, and Costa and get some players who can help Eden so it's not the watch Eden create offense show.

Sure, but I certainly had him above Cahill and did mention that was top notch at Southampton so let's not make it out that he was some numpty playing league 1. He was a good buy last summer. The problem is the board has gone with a boom or bust strategy and has done nothing to fix the back line. There's no guarantee that Zouma will be suitable either.

I know but Alderweireld went for 11.5 million pounds last summer and most here wanted nothing to do with him.

What's worse is that Alderweireld and Meunier could have been had for 20 million pounds or less which would have made the defense much better. Now we're looking out at missing out on a defender for 40 million + and looking at having Terry,Cahill, and Ivanovic on the back line.

If this transfer fails then the board has failed if they cannot bring in suitable secondary options. The back line was atrocious last year and the board failed to bring in a replacement as they whiffed. A second year of not bringing in a few defenders would be a colossal failure. With a few additions on the back club this team is capable of challenging for the title. Without them this team will likely finish upper table but out of champions league spots.
