Last Week he was the Hero. Now the Villain. Next Week if he Scores you will replace his name with Anelka's

Mata impressed alot in the time he spent on the pitch. Good Crosses, crisp passing, clever runs and clever passes. There was freshness and alot of movement once Mata came in. I cant wait to see the same with Sturridge on the right. The midfield still has a gaping hole for creativity. Apart from Ramirez, the other two are slow. And you need a bit more dynamism in your engine and we lack that. What a run by Ramirez, he should be an olympian!! The moment Anelka played it to him, I knew he would beat the last defender but he still had a heavy touch and only he could have won the penalty there. 4-3-3 is the way to go. 4-4-2 Diamond is dire specially with Malouda, Lampard in the Diamond. Credit to Norwich. They were very good. They beat the offside trap time and again on our right hand side. Even after being reduced to 10 men, they had two forwards up the field and they did scare us. MoM: Ramirez Good: Ramirez is a Top Top Player, What a Buy!!, Bosingwa looks to be back to his best and seems the player he was under Scolari. Mata looks Superb. Anelka looked lively. And Lukaku looked rusty. But he will improve. Bad: Drogba, Looks Dire, Absolutely Dire!! Alot of heavy touches, misplaced passing and that Free Kick was horrndous. Torres unfortunately had no supplies again. All the passes were going to Drogba and Drogba was misplacing them. Feel for Torres as he has to play in this shit team. Lampard apart from the penalty was ok. Nothing Special but that isnt enough if we are aiming for Champions League. Ugly: Hilario What were you thinking going for that Cross. Thats the Defender's Zone not GoalKeepers.

Cant wait to see Lukaku on the pitch
-
Very Generous of him
-
Not easy not hard. We should top the group easily.
-
He will be our ery own David Beckham. I'd call him the Ginger Beckham purely for his sublime right foot. His crosses and shooting from a 30yard radius is phenomenal for a 20 yr old and he will only improve with age. Buy him for 10m euros and loan him back to Genk as He will get a good Champions League exposure rather than keeping him with us on bench
-
He looks like the young Pep Guardiola and both play the same position.
-
Romeu....Lets Hope he turns out real good for us.
-
Are you on drugs?
-
Transition? Not sure alot of them here understand that word. Before long you will see AVB out threads. You make far too sense to be posting here
-
At the moment. Its Terry, Ivanovic, Alex and Luiz in that order. We might as well start threads for Alex and Ivanovic now.

He is a good Defender but still raw with moments of madness. Fulham game: Conceded a penalty at the last minute but Cech saved us. Stoke Game: Stupid mistake at half line which led the winger to run towards the goal and score. Man Utd Game: We all know that. West Ham I think: Conceded a Penalty and we lost a clean sheet. These are only the mistakes i am talking about that directly led/could have led to a goal and all this in 4 months of football not to mention the rash challenges and ability to concede silly fouls. Could and should have been sent off at home against Man Utd. The wankfest over him seriously turns me off. He is good but not so Good that we have to start another thread, out of the blue to witness another wankfest over him.

Oh yes I know we can watch Valencia and also Man City games. How many of their games over a season do YOU watch for 90 minutes. If you tell me you have followed every Game of Valencia over the entire season for last 4 years and Every Game of Man City over the entire Season for last 2 years, I will go by your verdict. So have you? I just dont like people passing on verdict by watching MOTD or couple of games of Valencia. Also, what makes you say Mata beats Silva "with ease" in terms of pace? Did you see them run together or something/? Silva is much of a dribbler and more direct than Mata is. This was my perception even before from whatever little I saw of both at Valencia and I feel better now that my perception was right having heard the same from a Valencia fan who has watched them much more than you and me. Mata himself has said that he does not like to play direct and take on a defender but relies more on movement. If you cant except we signed a player like that then, I suggest you swallow the bitter pill.
-
Yes...I still stand by that. But I just feel, he looks too good.
-
Real Madrid or Barcelona is what i want...
-
I'd much rather believe a Valencia fan who has seen both of them over the years than a Chelsea fan. Thanks for your great input though
-
Anyone having a man crush on him? Or m I the only one feelig gayish for him? I am already looking forward to meeting him in the summer when Chelsea travel to US for pre season. I am gonna stalk Mata.
-
No...I just happened to notice the difference. Doesnt change the fact that I would still Destroy her.
-
I just noticed her left tit is out of shape or may be her right tit is suffering from growth deficiency.
-
Haha...You Cheeky Bastard...
-
I want to know the pervert who gave you +1 for showing Kalou's ass.
-
Or may be they applied for his work permit and was denied again and with his contract running out next year, there is no point in giving him an extention while you arnt sure of the work permit.
-
That would be good if we are playing 4-2-3-1 with Mata and Kakuta to play the no. 10 while Sturridge, De Bruyne and Hazard are on the wings. But with 4-3-3 having 5 wingers for two slots is just waste. Plus Kakuta is not a winger.
-
Mata on wings will be as in effective as Torres upfront if we do not sign Modric. Why have we performed poorly over last season and previous two games in our 4-3-3? Cus Lampard, our previous playmaker was unavailable and when he became available, he was dire and he still is dire. We need a Player in the central midfield who can spray the passes around and dictate the play from the central midfield. We can sign, Messi, Neymar, or Mata, but if these attackers wont have the balls played to them, they will be ineffective. The Game is won and loss in the central midfield.

A very well written analysis or Mata and comparison to Silva by a Valencia Fan taken from another forum. Gives you a good insight on the two players. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, IMHO nowadays they're equally good if you ask me. When they were here, I considered Silva being a bit better than Mata, because Silva made more last passes and his position on the field was more relevant, scoring more goals than Mata and being more popular than him 'cause Silva was Villa's right hand. That made Mata being not so notorious, but when both Villa and Silva left Valencia, Mata was more predominant, more important for our game, totally replacing Silva's game and skills, and being more mature, more clever on his movements, having a better eye for the passes, etc. To put it simple, when the three of them were here, the specific position of each one was this: ------ X ------ X -- X - X -- X X - X - X - Mata ----- Silva ---- ----- Villa ---- Now, as I said, they're both excellent players, but I prefer Mata over Silva for various reasons: - Mata can play as a left winger or as a link between midfielders and strikers. Silva can do it too, but tends to do only the second thing. Silva hardly ever played as left winger; on the other hand, Mata has played as that intermediate player from time to time so he has that kind of experience. In a few words, I see Mata being more capable or doing different jobs on the field, thing that Silva can't do because he centered his game on being the last passer and nothing more. - Mata is more professional in terms that he wants to play always, Silva only played here when he wanted to. When Silva didn't want to run, that was like we had only 10 players on the field. Mata, instead of that, "sweats the T-shirt" like we say in Spain, runs all the match and gives the best of him always. Silva is more like a self-called star, and Mata is kind of humble, if you catch my drift. - Mata knows that there are more players from his team on the field, Silva lacks that. Silva prefers to rely on his dribbling skills and plays "solo" most of the time, and Mata, however, prefers to pass the ball. Probably Silva is, then, faster and capable of dribble the defenders, but I think Mata's style is more clever and more convenient for the team. To put it all together, Silva is a superb player being the man who does the last pass, but nothing more. Mata maybe lacks Silva's keen eye for that job, but I see him more regular, more all-around kind of player, capable of doing different things depending of which position has on the field, and personally I prefer a player who is a B on everything than another one who is an A on one thing but a C on the others.
