See it all happened so sudden which gives further credence to what Beasley posted. And it contradicts your theory. If AVB knew that he was going to banish Alex and Anelka he wouldnt have played Anelka in CC 3 days before the Newcaslte game.

How do you know that this happened after they handed in the transfer request? How do you know that they didnt hand out transfer request because they were banished to the reserves by the Manager?

To humiliate a great player can only do two things: Either it will force him to prove the manager wrong or it will lead him to give up and hand in a transfer request.
