  1. Let me remind you of a certain "CANNIBAL". He was famous for eating up the opposition team's strikers and we all went gaga over him when he ate Ronaldinho for dinner at the Bridge.
  2. He'll probably change his mind another couple of times before the end of the transfer window. Really used to it now!!! Jose made it clear that Inter is NOT looking for striker as they are very potent in that dept. and all they want is couple of good midfield players. Which obviously SHUT the door BANG on Drogbas face. Hence he now wants to stay with Chelsea. Pisses me off this guy.!!!
  3. Greece in EURO 04, France if it wasnt for Zidane headbutt, France in EURO 00
  4. Thoughts are that, judging players over the period of time is a better option than judging them based on their performances in one match or a tournament. Milan Baros an example that comes to my mind. Boulahrouz was great for us only in one game when he owned Ronaldinho at the bridge. We gotta look for a talent who gives such performances day in and day out for a club over the entire season.
  5. They still wont win it. MARK MY WORDS!!! History has it that the most attractive team in the competition NEVER wins the competition. Argentina in the World Cup an example. My money is still on Germany and Portugal.
  6. Thats exactly what I meant. although people may argue the team was in Auto Pilot mode but whatever......
  7. What an Ass....Just missed a penalty....an opportunity which would have taken Romania into the next round and Kocnked out italy from the competition.
  8. I am not too sure how good a "Master Tactitian" he is. He was a manager of Real Madrid and was fired within a year for finishing 4th in the league and having a trophyless season, inspite of having, Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo, Beckham, etc etc. I know he had alot of interference from their President, but if you see, his situation wasnt much different from that of Grant's. May be he is Good but definately no where near the likes of scolari and Jose.
  9. And what makes it even interesting is , Scolari has riled them up even befoe setting his foot in England. Fergie and Quieroz never got along well with Scolari, because of their constant requests of using Ronaldo sparingly for the National Team being ignored by Scolari. Queiroz once commented "Scolari is like one of those people whom, if you give your brand new car to, would make the best use of it, empty the petrol tank, screw it up and give it to you and not even say thanks"...(it was something on those lines). This was after their request was ignored and Ronaldo came back with an injured ankle from this National Duty. Scolari once commented on Quiroz "He is desperate to submit his application for the manager's position". This was when Quieroz came to watch the Portugal team to scout for Nani. And now he has already riled them up, by persuading Rnoaldo to grab the opportunity. EXPECT FIREWORKS WHEN FERGIE AND SCOLARI MEET IN THE LEAGUE!!!
  10. Thats a Ridiculous Formation. Villa the supposedly "BEST STRIKER" in europe at the moment on the Right wing? Attacking midfielder Lampard playing deep in the midfield. Ballack looks fine there as he is more of a box to box type. If we are playing that formation, I would rather have Essien, ballack and Mikel for those 2 deep midfield roles. May be Deco and Lampard could be swapped for that role behind the striker. Ronaldinho and Joe Cole or Quaresma and Joe Cole on the wings. NO DAVID VILLA PLEASE!!!....One hatrick in EURO 2008 shouldnt lure a club into wasting 30 million pounds on him.
  11. Its Samba mood at the Bridge!! Scoooolaaaareeeeeee...Oh-Oh Scoooolaareeeeeee Oh- Oh -Oh -Oh  To the tune of ......"Volare"
  12. Yes..and that too after just 90 minutes. There is NO extra time.
  13. ^^^^...Add Ranieri too, to the list of ill treated managers at Chelsea. I really really hope he stays with us for 3-4 seasons atleast. He is a fickle minded manager. Changes clubs every one or two seasons. Potugal was the only place where he managed for 5 seasons.
  14. Same here. But my only concern is he is a bit of Drogba and Ronaldo when it comes to whining and crying on the field thereby not giving a 100%. And that is the last thing I want to see in his first season for Chelsea along with, us fans pacifying ourselves by saying "This IS HIS FIRST SEASON IN PEMIER LEAGUE HE NEEDS TIME TO ADJUST"...like we deed in Drogba's case, Sheva's case, Maloudas case, etc etc.
  15. That is THE BEST AWAY KIT !!! for a long long time.
  16. Would be great to see Quaresma and Joe cole on the flanks running riot. The only problem with Quaresma is, he is a bit of a Whiner and gives up easily on the balls if he is tackled. Showboats alot. Bit of Ronaldo and Drogba there. I hope Big Phil, brings out the very best in him and diciplines him.
  17. Wenger wouldnt dare in his dreams to punch Scolari. He is No Alan Pardew He is definately gonna be the media's favourite with his funny quotes and digs at refs and other managers.
  18. A draw in that match would mean Goal Difference and NOT penalties. If equal on Goal Difference then it comes down to who scored the most goals. And atm, Turkey's Goal difference is = -1 and Czech Republic's Goal Difference is = -1 and both have scored equal number of goals.
  19. I have seen him start with Quaresma and Ronaldo during the Euro Qualifiers with Simao on the bench. Hence I was expecting him to start with Ronaldo and Quaresma. Oh and one more fact, Scolari left out Quaresma from the World Cup squad inspite of winning the Portuguese Footballer of the year award for 2005 and 2006. Hence, not too sure how high Scolari rates him.
  20. Because, people raised in shoddy areas of Amsterdam, without proper upbringing and education turn racist and hate asians and come up with such remarks.
  21. Took you two days and two replies for that comeback. ...you could do better pimpboy.
  22. Dont knwo how highly Big Phil regards Quaresma's talent. Two games in succession he has started on Bench. Huntelaar plays best with a supporting striker is what I feel as Ajax plays with 2 strikers upfront.(correct me if im wrong)
  23. Who wants to bet on Ronaldinho coming to Chelsea, with Scolari in the Hot seat.? He plays 4-3-3. All we gotta do is, get a direct dribbling winger and a good quality striker. Midfield shoudnt be tinkered with if we are to play 4-3-3. Also, now we will hear rumours about Ronaldo coming to Chelsea. You heard it first here.
