  1. With Scolari as our new manager after the tournament, I can see more and more Chelsea fans supporting Portugal as the tournament progresses
  2. I am NOT getting too excited with this. He has ZERO experience of managing in EUROPE. most of his life he has managed clubs in brazil and West Asia. and led a star studded Brazil team to the WC victory. He is 59 a bit too old. I am not sure how long he will last. He cant speak english, dont know how he will put his ideas across, exactly the reason why Lippi backed out. The only positive thing is, Carvalho has an incentive to stay at Chelsea and finally we will see some good attacking football.
  3. What a retard....surely a scouser as he ignored Gerrad and took digs at every other player. Oh and one more thing it looks like its 8-0 from his post but that wise crack mentioned 7-0. needs math tuitions that guy.
  4. Clinical Performance from Portugal. Good at attack, solid in Defence. Ronaldo looks a totally different player in the Portuguese Shirt. The same Class player minus the showboating, whining, crying and diving wonder why he cant be the same in the Man Utd shirt. Boswinga looks a class act but Touch Wood...cus so did Boulahrouz and we all know how bad he was when he played for us... Cant help but take a shot at the Czech team. You cant help but think that Petr Cech gives his best behind a pretty shoddy defense. Numerous occasions hes saved the Czech team from utter humiliation. The Czech defense needs to raise their bar. And in the end, good to see a normally selfish Ronaldo deciding not to go one on one against the Big Pete and instead choosing to pass the ball to Quaresma who had no problems in tapping the ball in.
  5. What makes you so confident he wont leave? If there is a player that is bound to goto Inter Milan it is Carvalho, Carvalho has been more with Jose than with Chelsea in his footballing career and its obvious he would love to be with Jose than stay with Chelsea
  6. Yes, Also saw alot of Hoes from amsterdam in the crowd. Basically Netherland = Arsenal. Young squad of kids playing brilliant football and winning shit. Germany=Chelsea..EFFICIENCY PERSONIFIED!!!
  7. I am for Portugal...as i hold a portuguese passport .. Surprised to see Quaresma on the bench.
  8. Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho admits he would 'love' to play under former coach Jose Mourinho again, and revealed he would be discussing his Stamford Bridge future with chief executive Peter Kenyon after Euro 2008. The Portugal centre-back has been linked with a move to Inter Milan, where Mourinho - who coached Carvalho at Porto and Chelsea - has just been appointed as boss. The 30-year-old is one of many players expected to be tempted to join Mourinho, and he admits a tough decision lies in wait for him at the end of the tournament. 'I have heard a few comments (about a move to Inter),' he said. 'It's a club matter and I am focused on playing for the national team so we will see after. 'But I would love to be coached by Mourinho again. The majority of the trophies I have won were won with Mourinho. 'At Chelsea, there is a new cycle happening so we will see what happens. I have a contract with Chelsea. 'But you never know - sometimes a challenge is good for a player. I will speak with Peter Kenyon after the tournament.' Cristiano Ronaldo, Carvalho's Portugal team-mate, has also been linked with a move away from Premier League, with Real Madrid admitting they would be interested in signing the Manchester United winger. Carvalho believes only Ronaldo himself can decide whether his future lies away from Old Trafford. 'He has to make his decision,' he added. 'Sometimes a new challenge is good but he has to make that decision. I can't say much about this.' ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Source:soccernet.com There you go, Carvalho speaks out. I think he is sure to leave this summer.
  9. Thats true, hence he mentioned that he wont play at Barca under Rijkaard.
  10. Is he a more direct winger? does he showboat alot? As far as I know hes transfer to Barca few years ago was a TOTAL FLOP.
  11. Hmm...so..Ancellotti has made his stand clear so has panderelli but the silence from Spalleti is deafening. When asked about the link up, he said I dont want to talk about it. Loooks like he is close to becoming our new manager. Also, Galliani knows who we are planning to employ as our new manager. To a question from a reporter he said, I am not going to tell you if the new manager for Chelsea is an italian. Which means, we already have almost struck a deal, only the unveileing is due.
  12. Man UTd sell their most prized asset Ronaldo a winger to Real Madrid who already have Robben and Robinho as wingers and are trying for Hleb too. Now that Man Utd need a winger, I dont see why Madrid wouldnt sell Robinho to Man Utd unless ofcourse if Robinho has other plans and that is to come to Chelsea.
  13. With Ronaldo now making clear that he wants a move to Real Madrid, I think Robinho will goto Man Utd in a swap+cash deal. I dont see Robinho coming to Chelsea now.
  14. Well...The Club has already mentioned that they did not approach any club to talk to their manager. Which means, we are not looking at Ancelloti, Spalleti or the fiorentina coach. These are just rumours the press like to sstir up. Now, the statemet given by Chelsea also means that we are looking at someone who is not associated with any club and probably have in mind of employing Scolari as our next manager. Hence the wait, and I can see all of us getting frustrated till Portugal gets knocked off the tournament. Till, then we will see names being liked to our club for the manager's position.
  15. Michael Essien's representatives insists the midfielder is happy at Chelsea and have denied he has any interest in joining Internazionale. There has been speculation that the Ghana midfielder would be reunited with former manager José Mourinho who was unveiled as the new Inter boss yesterday (Wednesday). But Essien's agent Fabien Piveteau, confirmed: 'Michael is very happy at Chelsea and that is where he will be playing next season. His current contract runs until 2012. There has been no approach from Inter.' Source:cfc official website. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fantastic news. I hope Riccy carvalho does the same.
  16. Or probably something really wise, as we are NOT hurrying into this or not Panicking into appointing someone on his past laurels.
  17. And by the time Euros is over, we will see most of the top performers in Europe already snatched by othe big clubs.
  18. Yes, true...but you gotta compare the team of Roma with the likes of Fenerbache, Aston Villa, Getafe. Also, Zico took an average Japanese side to the Quarter Finals of the World Cup and an average Fenerbache side to the Quarter Finals of the UCL. I feel its just a toss of coin between the managers like Spalletti, Martin O Neill, Hughes, Laudrup, Deschamp and if you may add Zico. These managers have the "potential" to be great managers if they are given proper resources. And, as far as I am concerned its like taking a Gamble.
  19. Well, Chelsea anounced that they held talks with Milan over Drogba and Sheva and Kaka of which only Kaka's transfer has been ruled out by milan, no word on the other two. So I guess, Drogba is probably bound to go to Milan. Jose will Definately bid for Riccy Carvalho. Damn Fucking Sure about it. I just hope Riccy stays. I would anytime prefer Riccy over Lampard.
  20. I swear I had to rub my eyes and recheck the statement on skysports saying "Chelsea turn to Spalletti"...I mean WTF. With every passing moment we are going a step backwards. WTF has Spalleti done with Roma.? OK...he has got average sides with limited budget to reach within the top 5 in the leagueEg: Udinese and Roma. So have Martin Oneil, Hughes, Laudrup, Deschamps whohave done excellent work with average sides. Plus with Spalletti, I remeber the 7-1 drubbing that Man Utd handed out to his team, this when all they had to do was seek a draw at Old Trafford. Why the fuck arent we going for Zico.? He is with Fenerbache and he did an excellent work there. Does anyone else agree that Zico would be fantastic for our team.?

  22. He will definatly go for drogba and carvalho not so sure about lamps. If atall lamps leaves he will go to spain because of his missus.
  23. I know but its funny to see that on wiki when the deal hasnt been done yet.
  24. Blackburn have confirmed they have agreed a compensation package with Manchester City for manager Mark Hughes. Having parted company with Sven Goran Eriksson on Monday, City have wasted little time in identifying Hughes as the man to succeed the Swede. City owner Thaksin Shinawatra was granted permission by Blackburn to hold discussions with Hughes on Monday. And Thaksin has now reached an agreement with Blackburn for Hughes, who is also understood to be a target of managerless Chelsea. A statement on Blackburn's official website read: "Blackburn Rovers can confirm that they have reached an agreement with Manchester City on compensation terms for Mark Hughes." The former Wales boss - who took over at Blackburn in 2004 - is understood to have until Wednesday to decide upon his future, but it is not believed that he has yet held talks with Thaksin. Meanwhile, City have confirmed that Hans Backe and Tord Grip have left their posts as assistant manager and first-team coach, respectively, in the wake of Eriksson's departure. Chief executive Alistair Mackintosh told City's official website: "Both Hans and Tord made a positive impact on those involved with Manchester City over the course of the season. "We thank them for their contribution and wish them every success in the future." Source:skysports. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So its done now. Hughes to Man City and Ancelotti to Chelsea.
  25. Wikipedia already shows that he has joined Chelsea. I guess its an almost done deal.
