He has ZERO experience of managing in EUROPE. most of his life he has managed clubs in brazil and West Asia. and led a star studded Brazil team to the WC victory. He is 59 a bit too old. I am not sure how long he will last. He cant speak english, dont know how he will put his ideas across, exactly the reason why Lippi backed out. The only positive thing is, Carvalho has an incentive to stay at Chelsea and finally we will see some good attacking football.

Well...The Club has already mentioned that they did not approach any club to talk to their manager. Which means, we are not looking at Ancelloti, Spalleti or the fiorentina coach. These are just rumours the press like to sstir up. Now, the statemet given by Chelsea also means that we are looking at someone who is not associated with any club and probably have in mind of employing Scolari as our next manager. Hence the wait, and I can see all of us getting frustrated till Portugal gets knocked off the tournament. Till, then we will see names being liked to our club for the manager's position.

Yes, true...but you gotta compare the team of Roma with the likes of Fenerbache, Aston Villa, Getafe. Also, Zico took an average Japanese side to the Quarter Finals of the World Cup and an average Fenerbache side to the Quarter Finals of the UCL. I feel its just a toss of coin between the managers like Spalletti, Martin O Neill, Hughes, Laudrup, Deschamp and if you may add Zico.
