well you can blame him for the revolving door but we're 5th in our worst year since he's been here, with a chance to finish 4.
-
my biggest crticism of avb was his transfer policy, atleast when he talked about it publicly. His conferences made him seem atlittle arrogant too. If its not Jose or Pep, who else is there? the Valencia coach, Emory? but he'd kinda be like avb; a coach that isn't as big as the players, cause seems to me our heir-achy goes like: Roman Players Chelsea Coach
-
that pic of him standing alone sums up his stay here. he had to be a 1 man team it seemed. n one to back him. not ALL his players, not the board -publicly anyways- and not the media. the fans at the bridge didn't seem to voice their support either, atleast they didn't boo him.
-
maybe we should stop worrying about some of these players. every player Jose brought in might need to leave. idk why the board always wants to stick with underporforming players, but get rid of a coach the so fast. Carlo should have stayed. AVB should have stayed, at least till the season's end
-
if we want Barca type football, we need their coach i guess.
-
just consider this: are they bigger than the legend at Chelsea right now? nope. Maybe one of those legends need to take charge of the team for a while
-
Di-Matteo wouldn't dare drop lamps or any legend if he wants to survive. I wonder what Terry thought of AVB? At least he didn't complain publicly
-
too bad fans that fill the bridge don't seem to agree with many here. just wish the players would know they don't run the club. hope it doesn't take months in the summer to find a coach, and another month to finally sign anyone. really sucks the situation we're in, coupled with united owning spurs with a almost the same squad we have
-
because he won the Europa League? just like Jose. because he dominated his league by not loosing a game. Look at porto's struggles now. there's rarely gonna be anyone that's 100% proven

Pardew: Villas-Boas deserves an apology from senior players at Chelsea By SPORTSMAIL REPORTER Newcastle boss Alan Pardew believes sacked Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas deserves an apology from some of his senior players. The Portuguese lost his job on Sunday afternoon in the wake of Saturday's 1-0 Barclays Premier League defeat at West Brom, which followed weeks of speculation over his future. Swift exit: Andre Villas-Boas sacked by Chelsea Pardew had a great deal of sympathy for Villas-Boas, who was criticised for dropping experienced players such as Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba, after experiencing a similar situation during his spell at West Ham. Speaking after the Magpies' eventful 1-1 derby draw with Sunderland, he said: 'I have a lot of sympathy for him because that is a really, really talented coach we have lost in this country. 'I know he is from Portugal, but he has had to take on a club there with a lot of senior pros and in the background, probably had a very, very difficult job. 'When you are in a transition year like that - and I have been in it because I was at West Ham when I inherited a lot of senior pros who had just been relegated, and it was very, very difficult. 'They made it difficult for me, and one or two of them have apologised since, and so they should. 'I hope one day that happens to that manager because I think he deserves a better turn than he has had.' Black Cats counterpart Martin O'Neill too was also sorry to see Villas-Boas go. He said: 'I am really disappointed for the lad, really disappointed. You don't get very much time these days and I genuinely couldn't be more disappointed. I feel for him. What he says and what he actually does are totally different things. How come he seems to totally ignore avb when avb tries to sub him in? don't dare sub him out either. Or let him come on and score a penalty; he'll then go to the media and tell everyone he's problem with avb. I will gain alot of respect for him if he doesn't come and say anything negative about avb. also can't wait to hear avb's true feelings about Chelsea.
-
only reason i complain against lampard is cause he publicly says he has problems with the coach, I don't find publicly saying you have a problem with your coach as great service to your club
-
I might turn the tv off if they chant lampard's name again. Since he seems to be the poster child for anti-avb at Chelsea. when Torres came in he said something like: here at Chelsea you don't feel like you need to prove your a professional, everyone already knows. Maybe our club is run too loosely.
-
what are Courlay and Bucks credentials?
-
remember in the Chelsea finances were it said paying 28mil for firing a coach was a one time thing? seems more like a fixed cost these days
-
my only answer to that is, he wants to leave on his terms so he remains a legend at Barca, if he stays too long he might become a villain. hopefully whoever we bring, our transfer policy isn't skrwed over.
-
funny, if he goes to Arsenal, he'd kinda regret the whole Fabregas thing. but Arsene won't leave anyway. they stuck by their man in a situation that was worse than what we're facing right now. People FSN saying he lost the job due to trying to change things too quickly. I disagree. We spent over 50mil this year and only 1 has made a decent impact. Raul. M has done performed sometimes too. the problem AVB faced was his failier to bring in more players. Benching frank would have been a no factor if we were able to bring in more good players. idk why Nasri wasn't considered. why wasn't Willian brought in? why did we spend so much on players that aren't expected to play for us until 4 years time? I really hope a good coach gets the job, someone with a bigger name than the entire chelsea board and players.
-
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1030893/roman-abramovich-to-target-guardiola-for-chelsea-job?cc=5901 really hope the players don't come out and say how pleased they are about the decision
-
if we bring someone in I think only Pep and Jose are the only managers in the world that are worthy of coaching our players. hopefully this new coach will know we need players
-
too early for this, should have waited till end of season. we always suck in january. Congratulations to the players that got their wish though. it gets to point were maybe the guy hiring the coach should take a look at em self
-
so why didn't we sign more players? I hope we didn't give full transfer control to avb in his first year, Courlay and Buck should know our limits and buy more players. Do you think if we miss top4 we will sign anyone?
-
being a real life manager is more than playing the best players, there's a lot politics that are involved. not to pick on lampard cause he's not the only invisible player out there, but if avb subs him today and eventually players him in our next home game, lamps scores a goal and beats his Chelsea badge, then later one tells the media he has problems with avb. avb seems to have little support from the board, they only seem to be ready to judge him.
-
Of course we need 2 wingers, i pretty much meant if I had to chose between Di Maria and Hazzard I would chose Di Maria; but due to the chances of Hazzard going to a PL rival, i would be forced to chose Hazzard.
-
random video i found on the tube. seems direct to me. but if we get him, where will danny play? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRSR7s99GOA
-
a big part of the reason i want hazzard is to keep him from spurs, arsenal....etc. I'd rather get Hulk and Di Maria as our wingers, with a young LB and a #10 backup for Mata; Willian. idk I really hope it happens or we get even better than what I've listed
