Those four have been the standouts. Luiz ok Essien ok Meireles ok Cole ok except for that shitty backpass
-
Ridiculous performance so far. Was okay til about the 20th or 25th minute then just became horrific. Lampard - dreadful Bosingwa - fucking shit Torres - fucking shit and needs to shut his mouth and actually do something. Fcking disgraceful dive too. Sturridge - crap and can't get in the game at all
-
I don't think people are "slagging him off". We are just commenting that he does have flaws and isn't playing as well as he was when he first came into the starting XI, which is a fair comment imo.
-
His reactions to substitutions aren't helping him at all. On one hand, a little arrogance is good especially for a striker but he needs to learn to accept decisions and not come off looking like a spoilt brat. I still really, really like him as a player and he has tremendous potential and I honestly can understand why he may be frustrated, but he should learn how to be part of a team.

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

That game was worse than the 3-5 this season imo. We were 3-0 down I believe and Iva scored a header at the beginning of the 2nd half to make it 3-1 but we never managed to get back in the game. At least we showed some spirit in the 3-5 this season. We lost because of shockingly ridiculous defending. That 3-1 loss last season was one of the lowest points of that season for me. -

Yep, that's why I said "If Daniel himself has so many opinions about this". But I feel as if something like that is coming, based on his attitude every time he is substituted
-
If Daniel himself has so many opinions about this, he can fuck off. No one is bigger than the team. He isn't Messi. He's had one good year. So suck it up and play for the team. I don't care if we lose a talented player if the player himself is damaging our team's morale and becomes a liability. He hasn't said anything yet, but I can definitely see him saying such things.
-
Mikel is a decent player and an alright substitute option to have, but we need a better starting DM. Question marks have appeared over Romeu despite having an impressive start. Not sure if he's the guy to be a regular in our "new" side starting next season. If he isn't, then the club definitely has to sign someone else. Mikel may have been an okay player but we need to start thinking about getting ourselves back to the level we were at in the 04-08 years with Makelele.
-
Yeah, that's true in a financial sense. But at the same time, keeping him at the club means that we can't sign another top class striker (one that can actually score goals) because neither would be happy at sitting on the bench. I think it would be better to just sell him. It is possible that we can get Malaga, PSG or Anzhi to pay 20m for him. We should just move on from this Fernando Torres fiasco and get in a new striker in the summer since we are going to be rebuilding the rest of the team as well.
-
Dear lord. Another reason why we need to get rid of him ASAP. We aren't spending 17m a year on him to get a couple of assists every month.
-
He's been poor for quite some time now. He was dropped recently but even before that happened, he was poor for about 4 or 5 games in a row. Very strange considering he started off well. He still suits our style better than Mikel, but now that Essien is fit, Romeu shouldn't be playing unless he improves his form. It's hilarious to see people suddenly delighted with Mikel's return from injury. Mikel may not be as much of a liability as Romeu has been in recent games, but he's still an average player and not good enough for us at all.

They probably do it as a favour to each other so that they can get some time with Eva -

LMAO at Meireles taunting Torres by shaking his bum at him. Best part. -
Modric wanted to join us. Have you already forgotten how 'desperate' he was to join us? And if we had tried to sign aguero before city were interested I'm sure he would have joined. It's not that quality players don't want to join us. Instead, the fault lies with our board for going after the wrong players. Case in point: signing the flop Torres for 50m when we could have gotten aguero for 30.
-
He should be tried out in English football as it's very different to Spanish football. If we can send him to a PL club, that would be better obviously

from https://twitter.com/#!/BelgoFoot BelgoFoot John Chapman Marca journo (Juan Castro) says good chance Thibaut Courtois will be back at Chelsea in summer; says he's just below Valdes and Casillas. BelgoFoot John Chapman Castro says Courtois one of best young keepers in Europe, 1st name on team sheet; unbeaten in 455 minutes, 10 clean sheets /19 league games
-
Exactly. At least 3 or 4 of those assists have come from his lack of pace and inability to get a shot away. The assist for Mata in the Leverkusen home game & the assist for Kalou away at Newcastle are the perfect examples. The Torres of old would have scored both of those himself. Instead he tumbled his way into the penalty area and his lack of pace allowed defenders to catch up to him and limit the space he had. So he had no choice but to square it for someone else
-
Absolutely. I remember watching that game live and being utterly disgusted by his acts. He wasn't a Liverpool player at that time so I had no prejudice against him whatsoever but I was sickened by what he did. And the way he & the rest of the team celebrated after the game - didn't they carry him on their shoulders as if he had just scored a hat-trick to win them the world cup? Astonishing.
-
Hmm I'm not sure if that applies to Cech. For regular goalkeepers, definitely, but with what Petr has gone through... I question his ability to go past maybe 3 or 4 more years. He's still a very good goalkeeper but he's nowhere near as good as what he was before Hunt's kick. He makes some excellent saves and he is a leader but we have already seen that he is prone to make more and more mistakes recently. He's still better than 99% of his peers but like I said... I wonder if he can last past the 13/14 season.
-
I didn't know about the England thing! I remember him saying that he'd like to stay in Atletico for 2 or 3 more years. Anyway, that's good!
-
Good point, Las7. I didn't actually think about it in that sense. Drogba's skills were perfectly illustrated in the Wolves and Newcastle games where even though he didn't do anything spectacular, he dragged defenders with him everywhere he went, which give Sturridge and Mata more time and space on the ball.
-
Utter disgrace. What. a. cunt. This guy's behaviour cannot get any more disgusting. Oh, wait. I'm sure it can, since this is the same guy that did this:
-
Guys we shouldn't get carried away! We should learn from what has happened to De Gea this season. De Gea is still a great goalkeeper and you can see it in glimpses but overall he has been a disaster for Utd - at least for now. He will probably improve with time and show his true potential. Courtois is a wonderful prospect but before we tell Cech to take a hike and celebrate this guy as his replacement, he should be tested out in the Premier League/Championship first imo. I'm sure we can loan him out to a club like Fulham or something. Understandably, he won't be able to go to a "big" club, but he doesn't have to stay there forever. Just 6 months or maybe a season to show that he can cope with English football. Perhaps we should let him stay at Atletico until the end of next season but we have to let him spend the 13/14 season on loan in England, so that in 2 and a half seasons time, he will have given us an answer.
