  1. Danny deserves a chance there. Because with Torres, drogba and lukaku at the club, he will not get to play as a striker. I think he'll do well but if he doesn't, then we can think about it next season. He won't be as bad as Kalouda so even if it doesn't exactly work out, we can wait until next summer to address it imo If we weren't going to sign Mata and Modric (just a matter of time) then I'd be worried because if Danny didn't perform, then we'd be back to where we were last season. But with the arrival of hopefully both M&M, we've already improved our attack a great deal
  2. dear god. he's one ugly bloke isn't he?
  3. Lamps  and didn't notice AVB until the fourth or fifth viewing
  4. How is his surname pronounced? Is it exactly like the word "hazard" or is the "ard" pronounced as the one in "hard"?
  5. Got goosebumps watching that video. Love him already also he speaks great English!
  6. As I said in the other thread, while this is really unfortunate, we won't miss him that much for the West Brom and Norwich matches. And there's an internation break after that so another week for him to recover. Hopefully he'll be back for Man Utd
  7. Well thankfully our next two games are relatively easy and then there's an international break so hopefully he'll be back for sunderland or man utd
  8. Me - Torres - My gran >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Malouda - Torres - Kalou
  9. Aww that's really nice! And is that a megastore bag? Wish him all the best for the future. Great lad, shame it didn't work out.
  10. If you go to their "transfer clockwatch" page, they've written it there. but a lot of the updates that they post there are actually 'gossip' from other sources
  11. 4-6 weeks but that was mentioned 10 days ago so he'll be out for about a month yeh I know... but I can't really see us signing them. hope the club will prove me wrong though
  12. ferreira has great attitude, what are you talking about? he knows he's not the best defender in the world and he is happy to be a squad player. he usually gives a solid 6.5 or 7 out of 10 in every match. and before last week, I would rather have had ferreira in the starting 11 than bosingwa
  13. We should give him a chance at least. Then if he doesn't really adapt then send him on loan! But I don't see us close to signing any wingers right now (don't think we'll sign either Mata or Hazard) so why not give him a go. Surely he can't be worse than Kalouda
  14. There's a difference between 'playing to their strengths' and what Stoke do imo. They don't even play 'football'. Fucking cheats. they weren't that bad on Saturday though, they've been even more aggresive before. Bolton used to be aggresive under Allardyce with that horrible long ball tactic etc but what Stoke do is just ridiculous.
  15. Don't think there's that much bias. They're just pretty shit all round and get lots of things wrong. but that stat about the number of pens Man Utd have gotten at Old Toilet is ridiculous
  16. Arsenal's next four matches: Udinese (H) Liverpool (H) Udinese (A) Man Utd (A) I think they'll lose all four
  17. What's the source? If his agent is already talking to us means that we've had a bid accepted...?
  18. Agreed but that's what he himself has supposedly said
  19. Apparently he's said that a deal is close and he'll be loaned back to Genk for a season. No idea how true this is though
  20. Ah okay, I thought this was his debut for Liverpool, my bad.
  21. In his very first game for Liverpool, JT was kicking him all game too. Remember how he just gave JT a cheeky slap? He handled Stoke's rugby tackles pretty well. Stoke are the most physical team in the league. What they play shouldn't even be called "football". Most teams don't play that way and I certainly don't think West Brom or Norwich will be anywhere near as bad
  22. He did contribute like Super-Frank mentioned. Apart from that, he didn't get much support. Lamps was poor and Kalouda were utter shit. If Benayoun had been on the pitch, we would have seen more, I think. At least he's trying! Last season he didn't really seem to give a fuck until the West Ham match and even after that he went into oblivion again. And a lot of things that weren't working for him last season (like first touch, etc) are much better now
  23. Whip it in? His crossing is atrocious. It's such a pity because he runs so well and finds himself with a lot of space but the crosses he produces are simply ridiculous 50 perfect seems awfully high for Kalou tbh
