Just saw the game. He did really good. Mangala looked like a youngster beside him. And with shooting he also did just fine, couldnt blame him for not scoring, Hart was on fire as well. Romelu didnt get to much passes in the box so he created chances for himself. That 1v1 wasnt so easy, there was very little space, GK was close, I can easly see Costa or any other striker wasting that chance. His totally justified.

Yes, he is a monster. Outstanding player and he's only 21 years old. Its only a dream, but imagine that: Matic - Pogba Reus - Cesc - Hazard Costa Enormous combination.
-
Fair enough. My bad
-
In terms of pure attacking I would however tempted to Real Madrid. Modric, Kross, James, Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema... But overall, that six - Matic, Fabr, Reus, Wllian/Oscar, Hazard, Costa - would be top-notch for sure.

I dont see the need of buying another striker for us, at least for now. You said about Dzeko - we already have a very quality third striker in Remy. I didnt try to compare Dzeko to the Frenchman, of course Edin did more for City than Remy for us, but Loic everytime when he was given the chance, he did a good job. I have the faith in him and I trust that when it comes to this, Remy will do just fine.

Yeah... random 21 goals and 29 assists in one season...
-
@Squawka Eden Hazard has now completed 99 take-ons in the Premier League this season, more than any other player managed in the WHOLE of last season.
-
Not the greatest perfomance, but 2 goals scored, clean sheet and City draw. So all in all I must say...
-
Please, more gametime for Remy and Zouma in the league.
-
But its says something. Of course Hazard is one of the best out there and there always will be a difference, but for the moment its just too much. Compared too Eden, Willian is just no danger on his side.
-
Its a good point but its a questionable case. Some say it should be Oscar, some say it should be Willian. We just should try both option and then judge. But what isnt questionable and I know this for a fact is that someone like Reus would be very useful for us and as I doubt we buy him in january then we should go after him or someone like him in the summer.
-
I agree. My dream signing is Reus too. We have good squad and for example player like Cesc is a very good help for Eden, they create great couple on the pitch. But still we have to be more dangerouse on the other flank. Willian is overall good player but his influence in the last three is too small, he's not direct enough, have weak shoot and simple his numbers are not good enough. We need someone who can provide couple of goals and assists from the other flank. I'm sure Reus can do that and I'm sure that he can be very good in pressing the rivals. I remember BVB from lasts seasons, they were example of great pressing high in the pitch and Marco was integral part of it. Reus is a versatile player and I believe he can be also good at tracking back, Mourinho would do the job with him, so the argument of Willians work rate and defensive contribution loses its meaning. As for Hazard... He was immense today. Such a magnificent player he is. But we already know that before. Today was just another proof of it. What a proof... I believe it was one of his best perfomences in Chelsea shirt.

It was just one of those games. I wouldn't draw too many conclusion from todays match. Yes, this game proved once again that Cahill maybe isnt Chelsea first team material but he wasnt the only defender that dissapointed today. In general our defence played very bad game. And some people are hilarious saying we are one man team. Like I said - that was THAT bad day for us. Matic, Fabregas played worse than usual. Hazard was terrific and TODAY he was carrying us in attack, but I repeat - that was today. When Cesc is playing on his usual level, same as Nemanja and our defence is not so shit then we had good balance in squad. Of course - Eden is one of the best, but we are not one man team. Calm down and onto to the next one
-
Really? I didnt know that in the PL they win with us only three times... Well, tomorrow it wont be they fourth time
-
Willian is as good player, has great work rate, vision, good technically and everything but just like some of you saying - he should be more direct and it is very noticeable that he is just level under our others attacking midfielders (Hazard, Fabr). Schurrle was rubbish today. He gave us nothing at the moment. We dont have any reliable backup at AM position. Conclusion - Reus would be a dream signing imo. Today it was a bad luck. Too many missed crosses. And Soton defended very well. But thats happens, keep ya head up

Its really hard to say which player is the best and most important for us which is very good indeed. This means we have a balanced squad with few best players and we are not team based on a one man. All three of these players - Matic, Cesc, Hazard - is very very important for us in the other way. Matic is the rock in midfield, he's just great, superb, he offers composure and these interceptions and tackles... he's just MATIC! Fabregas with his vision, passing and assists is a playmaker we dont have in last couple of years and finallly Hazard - if it comes to skills, he is probably the best in the team. His dribling is amazing, he's just THAT flair player in the CFC. So, liked i said - everyone of them is important, very important.

Southampton drops point more often than at the begging but still, it will be a tough game. And make no mistake - I trust Jose, he's the Special One, but having said that I dont understand some of his decisions. I'm talking here about rotation. Today we were 2-0 up, controlled the game and first substitute was made at 83th minute. Vs Saints there will be needed some rotation and generally Jose needs to use more his backup players like Schurrle, Filipe, Ramires etc.
-
Excellent play bar few minutes at the end of the game. Matic was great once again. Happy for the Costas goal
-
Yeah, that was interesting. After his cameo he was playing as a number 10.
-
Shiiit, I want to see him given a chance. Please Mourinho, please. COC/FA Cup/anything, at least few last minutes of the match for now. We had so many promising talents such as McEachran, Kakuta etc. but no one managed to make it here, so please give a fair chance to Boga, because he seems to be great potential.
-
Just a little comparision - Toni Kroos on Tuesday: 92% pass accuracy (142 attempted/130 completed). I know that was an "endless-passing-Bayern", but still... that is a midfielder. Yesterday Ramires completed 29 (!) passes, Luiz 52 passes.
-
Rui Faria, big up
-
Ba, Salah - nice I hope that Mourinho will give some playing time to Cole before first leg in CL.
-
I thought that we dont want to win this match. The players just pass by this match and it's looks like they wasnt anywhere near Etihad in their thoughts. Dont care, we beat them twice in PL.
-
In my opinion crucial was not that we dont convert our chances (not like we had so much chances yesterday), but that at the end of the match we just let them come at us. We completely lose control of the game. It was look like WBA was that big team and they fight for the equalizer and just outplayed their oponents. Like i said we lost the control of the game and it wasn't so hard to predict that they will score.
