Yeas, i understand what you are saying. But Club had it's own internal inquiry where it deemed NOT to pursue with Mata's allegation. But seeing how confident Ramires was, club clearly cannot ask it's own player to shut up on such an issue. I just hope the issue is buried now and everybody just moves on.

Club has first and foremost duty to look after it's players. Ramires & Mikel were very confident they heard. Why shouldn't club back it's players over a random ref? Now that it's clear, move on but Chelsea were well withing their right. Shouldn't hesitate to back it's players ever.

Are you sure about that? I know Roman bought us after Gronkjaer scored against Liverpool. But we have played CL in 1999-200 too. Chelsea beat Barça 3-1 in Stamford Bridge but, in a game that finished with a nail-biting 3-1 after 90 minutes,we were finally beaten 5-1 in extra time by the Catalans in Barcelona.

We were playing champion's league football in 1999 . We eliminated Invicibles Arsenal in the quarters finals of CL an were in the last 8 before 2003. How did that happen if we were usually finishing 6th in the league??

May be sturridge was not 100% fit or didnt impress RDM much and now he has. Also to torres's defense i would say he needs a rest. Lets be honest he was quite good at the starting of the season(newcastle, Arsenal) but he has been playing continuously.
