  1. Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has tipped Chelsea to exact their revenge by defeating Manchester United in the Champions League… The Blues missed out on the Premier League title despite pushing United to the very last day of the season. Sir Alex Ferguson's men claimed their 10th crown with a win over Wigan at the JJB Stadium, while Avram Grant's side slipped to a 1-1 draw against Bolton at Stamford Bridge. A loss in Moscow would resign Chelsea to their first trophyless season since 2004, and would almost certainly cost Grant his job. But Adebayor believes the Blues will triumph at the Luzhniki Stadium on Wednesday, insisting they are desperate to reap vengeance upon the Red Devils. He said: "After speaking with my friends at Chelsea, they have one thing in mind — revenge. When a team is driven by revenge it is hard to beat." Goal.com
  2. Frank Lampard says he will sort out his contract situation at Chelsea immediately after tonight's Champions League final. Lampard said: "I'm very happy at Chelsea, it's been the best days of my career. "My future will be sorted out in the summer, myself and the club have said we want to speak about my contract in the summer. Now is not the time to think about that. "I say it time and time again that it will be sorted out in the summer. "Myself and the club have said we want to speak about my contract in the summer. "Now is not the time. I want my mind completely on the game tomorrow. After that we can deal with it." The situation regarding Inter was made even more clear by spokesman Simon Greenberg, who added: "Can I be clear from the club's perspective. As regards Inter Milan, there has been no contact and no offers and we're not interested. "Frank's representatives have said the same. Let's just put that to bed." Tribalfootball

  7. José Bosingwa has agreed terms with Chelsea Football Club and will join the club after Euro 2008. He has agreed a three-year contract. The 25-year-old will join us from Porto, where he spent the past five seasons since signing from Boavista in 2003. While with Porto, he played alongside our own Ricardo Carvalho and Paulo Ferreira, and established himself as first choice right-back upon Ferreira's switch to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2004. Used just 13 times in his first season by José Mourinho, Bosingwa became a regular during 2004/5 and has kept his place since, playing over 100 times. He played twice against Chelsea, at Stamford Bridge in September 2004 in our 3-1 group stage win over the reigning European champions (he was an unused sub for the away fixture) and in the first leg of last season's first knockout round, a 1-1 draw in Porto with Andriy Shevchenko scored for the Blues. However injury ruled Bosingwa out of the second leg when Chelsea progressed. The player's consistency for club allowed him to break into the Portugal squad, where he faces a battle with Valencia's Miguel for the starting berth. Ferreira is a regular on the left, while Carvalho plays in the centre for Luis Felipe Scolari's side. Born in Kinshasa, Congo, the same birthplace as Claude Makelele, José Bosingwa da Silva moved to Portugal at an early age, and was recruited by Boavista where he developed his all-round game - solid at the back, energetic down the flanks and incisive in attack. Used mainly in defence now, he can also be employed as a right-sided midfielder. He made 41 league appearances in two seasons for Boavista before joining Porto in the summer of 2003. He has also represented his country at under-21 level, as well as playing in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, and to date he has four Superliga championships and a Portuguese Cup to his name, as well as a Champions League winners' medal from 2004, when he was an unused substitute as Porto triumphed 3-0 against Monaco. In the season just finished, he was part of a championship-winning Porto side that conceded just 13 goals in 30 games. Bosingwa becomes the fourth Portuguese in our first team squad, with Hilario also involved. Chelsea FC will carry an exclusive interview with our new signing in Blues News at 6.30pm. Chelsea FC

  11. woooooooo im really really confident about this tonight. on my way to the game soon. cmon the chelsssssssssssss Chelsea vs Man you final in Moscow... doesnt seem bad 2-0 tonight i reckon
  12. tbh i don't think he should return to action just yet.. alright he may feel upto it.. to take his mind off everything. But i can't see it working. He really won't have a clear head and not only will it effect his performance, but it'll effect the teams overall performance aswell. Not a good idea. I couldn't do it if i had just lost my mother. But in all fairness if he feels ready, then good luck to him. But we'll see how ready he really is when/IF he plays.
  13. jus got bk, what a fuckin game, get in thereeeeeeeeeeeee c'mon the chels!
  14. Germany midfielder Michael Ballack, has talked of his enjoyment at playing for Chelsea, and pledged his future to the Blues. Although the 31-year-old, who joined the London club from Bayern Munich in 2006, has been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge almost since he arrived, he insists he wants to stay with Chelsea. He told The Sun: "I have no plans to move clubs again. "I'm playing for an absolute top European club. "There are more exceptional players here than in Munich and it's a constant fight for positions. "I have never regretted moving to Chelsea - it's exactly what I wanted. "You only develop if you have good players next to you and when every game is a challenge. "When I was with Bayern Munich I won the Double three times in four years, and then we were often eliminated early on in the Champions League. "I wasn't excited anymore about winning the German championship yet again. I was looking for a new challenge." The Sun & Tribalfootball
