  1. Yep, he's staying put at the moment. The Santos President criticised Real's arragont approach after he signed the contract, but it won't deter Real in the future. He's still maintained his European dream "Obviously I am dreaming to play in Europe. I don't know when but one day I will go."I have always loved Spanish football, but there are other leagues that attract me too, like Italy or England." At least this extension will suspend interest for a while. He commented on Chelsea too saying "Last year's proposition from Chelsea? I really have no regret" Hopefully he honours his contract, whilst meanwhile we go full steam ahead for Hazard. You never know, however unlikeley it is, one day we could avail the both of them. Maybe by the time Neymar's free Real or Barca will have no need (even though it hasn't stopped Real before) too splash the cash and we'll be the strongest candadites to land his signature. Funnily enough AS have gone from painting him as a golden-boy to a 'diver' in days by printing Santos legend Coutinho's apparent words in essence labelling him a diver.
  2. I remember when I first saw that image on his twitter long ago, unfortunately he's just a sponsor. Look's good though :eyebrows:
  3. "De Rossi will stay at Roma, no doubt about it," Conti told Radio Mana Mana. "I would like to remind people of the following: Chelsea offered €70m for him, a lot of money, but [then president] Rosella Sensi turned it down." A lot of garbage floating around today.
  4. http://www1.skysport...-to-face-Sweden Congrats, it's been coming!
  5. Have to admit it's been a long time since I've seen England play as well as that against a top quality opposition. It's a crazy day when England beat Spain and even more so when I can say that England looked a more solid defensive unit than Chelsea atm.
  6. Scouser runts in the crowd. Hope Torres shuts them all up at the Bridge.
  7. What, could you cite a source? Can't seem to find it, seems like a fake to me.
  8. The biggest thing was the clean sheet, scrappy as it was it goes down as our first 1-0 win under Boas - I think.
  9. http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2011/11/08/2747496/pursued-by-chelsea-inter-reminiscent-of-a-young-cristiano
  10. I'd love it but doubt it. His dad already made a statement last year saying that we once rejected him 'because he was too weak and not that great'. We also rejected a third trial. His father's ego won't let this move happen let alone the bidding war that will indubitably manifest. Nonetheless Piazon and Mceachran have similar talent, all that's needed is an opportunity to shine.
  11. Great vid, thanks for the share - happy that he thinks something of Mceachran too, seem's all of our new signings seem to speak highly of him. Let's get Boas to watch this!
  12. Missed the game completely will watch it some time today but Torres did another 'miss'???? Not what I wanted to hear.
  13. "His future is clear. He will not move in January, he will definitely stay in London,” he told Calciomercato.it. “The rumours about Malaga and Stoke City? No, I repeat, Romelu will stay at Chelsea where he is very happy and he will not change jerseys. “I'm sorry but there is no possibility of him moving to the Rossoneri."
  14. John Terry was forced to call in the police to clear his name after a doctored recording of his voice uttering racist comments was posted on the internet. Terry was stunned when the recording of a heated mobile phone call from 2003 appeared on YouTube 48 hours ago.Terry hit by racist hoax tape as police probe doctored clip on YouTube. The recording included the same racist phrase Terry is accused of shouting towards Anton Ferdinand in his side’s Barclays Premier League game against QPR. It has since been removed after the intervention of Essex police. Terry does not deny having the conversation, but the version that appeared on the internet has been digitally edited to make it sound as though he has made a racist remark. The England skipper is furious an attempt has been made to stain his character with tampered evidence. He called in the police on Thursday to verify his claims. A police forensic team examined the recording, and Essex police said in a statement: ‘We believe that the recording has been edited and the matter is now closed.’ A lot of comments seem to be supporting him now perhaps due the tedioum and longivity of this quite relentless saga. What bugs me though is the fact that their is no investigation or punishment being considred towards the creator of these malicious videos. The attempt to stain his name is more than evident, and as a proffesional footballer at his level these stains can pose a viable threat can they not? This is just further damening proof, if more was needed, that their are nefarious creatures out their who will by the foulest and most unjustifiable means not stop until they've completley destroyed Terry's image.
  15. He always seems to be marked off but all I can say is that an in form Torres would've been more than a match for this Genk defense. Spirited as they may be I can't be content with a striker of his ability unable to find ways passed their defense. It's not just that he has been wasteful, but that he can't seem to find his way into the game. I know he hasn't been receiving an anywhere near satisfactory service that most strikers would command, I mean for all of Messi's blistering runs, and one man goals internationally he doesn't always perform- many say its due to his lack of Iniesta/Xavi service. But Messi or even a Aguero, Suarez, Ronaldo would've made himself heard and pestered the most rigid of defenses into the game one way or another. On his day he can be a nuisance but its how often one can that makes you a world class player. I just hope it clicks soon like it did with Dzeko, and further hope that he can reach the lethal heights that Aguero and Van Persie are setting - we all know he has the ability.
  16. No luck and a quite frighteningly open defense, had luck been on our side for the past few games this nightmare period could have been statistically 'obscured' in some aspects. Nevertheless we need some solidity, despite the pen miss, the bar, and the luck against us (bouncing off two players away from goal) we need to address our precarious susceptibility to literally any type of attack! Even against Arsenal, they created so many chances even beyond the sloppy 5 we conceded. We are dying for some sort of flare at the moment , without Sturridge and Mata the only player I could credit in a attacking sense has been Anelka!!... Anelka! Torres just seems unconfident, don't know what it is - theirs so many occasions where he's been on the charge and I've thought shoot, even from the difficult angles like his goal against Sunderland, but he looks for the pass or takes too long to make a decision. He's just been too inconsitent and turns off in games. In a nutshell we're missing the confidence and positive energy of a player like Aguero, I really wish we got him - and I agree with Blauw, hopefully Pato can overcome his injury problems because he IMO can make an impact of similar levels. Very similar players and equally positive on the ball. But as a team we all need to sharpen up.
  17. Chelsea's best play of the game IMO, 9/10 times that would've been a goal.
  18. Oh No Frank. Good testing shot Sturridge.
  19. Well he's ready to come on, we really really should be ahead.
  20. We can't even contain genk and we were punished.
  21. I don't blame Luiz, he looked the only one confident enough to take the penalty. Having said that I was surprised Malouda didn't have a shout.
  22. "Inter made me a rather interesting offer in the summer. However, there was still a lot of uncertainty about who would be the coach and whether Wesley Sneijder and Samuel Eto'o would stay," Hazard was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport. "Inter were not the only ones, though. AC Milan also made me an offer. They proposed that I stayed at Lille and open serious talks at the end of the season." On Monday, Hazard stated that he will definitely not move to another French team, and he has now added that does not have a preferred destination. "Every league has its merits, all the big clubs make me dream."
  23. Agreed what AVB was exceptional but it'a a shame for him that it coincided with a World Cup year. Think AVB does deserve it though.
