I just want to get this season done ( I reckon he'll do alright but not necessarily better than Di Matteo would of) and am both hoping and praying we get this guy below to take us forward: The crucial word being forward. Many were still debating that question, and with the 2 year deal in place there was only going to be one answer. These circumstances and the earliness of the parting do make it a very hard and bitter pill to swallow nonetheless. In the future though Pep can possibly get us playing that tika-taka style Abramovich yearns and will instantly command the respect of the dressing room. The prospect of Pep nurturing our trio is very tantalising.

Mourinho just had an interview question about us, saying he still supports us, saying he will support the the club but never mentioned Benitiz's name.

Hope our board remembers these details.

Rumours going around that Jurgen Klopp is on Abramovich's shortlist too, Dortmund manager for those who don't know. He's got such a secure job, doubt he'd even consider us.

I dread the thought of the fat Spanish waiter taking over. He left his last two clubs in turmoil and hasn't manged for two years. Just to add fuel to the fire, Torres will be giving another undeserved chance. Di Matteo had the time with the players and knew what we needed i.e. Falcao.
-
The last three managers had Torres on the bench before they got sacked. You can read that in two ways but I'd say it shows that all three managers benched him too late.

Guillem Balague Chelsea, Rafa Benítez and Pep Guardiola After the sacking of Roberto di Matteo, the questions in everybody´s lips are about Pep and Rafa. This is what I know. This week Pep Guardiola has been approached to take over Chelsea if the sacking got confirmed. Pep said he will continue with his sabbatical. And Rafa Benítez, as we speak doing a talk in Abu Dhabi, has not got an offer from Chelsea or a call from them either. I like Roman Abramovich, a man with a club and a dream (to give the reins to Guardiola). And I am sure he will pursue that dream. But one thing that will work against him -Pep will doubt if it is a good idea to work for a man who changes his mind that often. I know Roman struggled at first to deal even with draws. I know too that he knows more about football that people thinks. But the instability of the club will make Pep think twice.

This guy's quite reliable and is followed by the likes of Hazard and Anelka: Darren Tulett @1DarrenTulett Roman wants Pep. Pep wants the job but in June. Harry and Rafa want it and would take it today. And everyone's talking about Avram. #Chelsea

Guillem Balague @GuillemBalague Pep has told Roman he will continue his sabbatical and Rafa Benítez has not been approached. Would Avram Grant be a solution for now?

Oscar put on champions league beast mode.

LOL this is why you should never trust goal or the media in general:
-
We need a striker, we need goals; and when(IMO) the best striker in the world is virtually asking us to put a bid in we'd be stupid not too. The reasons the Mancs are top is literally down to there strikers. Dzeko has saved Man City 9 points coming off the bench! Against England we all saw how 1 striker can win you a game, today we saw how our strikers can lose us one by being wasteful. It's a no brainer we must make a bid!
-
Thank God for Eden Hazard, he's class.

50 seconds in is Mata's assist from tonight's game.

Chelsea lodge complaint about Clattenberg

Mark Clattenburg: Police drop investigation into referee The Metropolitan Police has dropped an investigation into alleged comments by referee Mark Clattenburg towards Chelsea players during last month's win over Manchester United. -
Cavani will not be cheaper than Falcao. Also I think people are looking at only the economic side of a coin rather than the side Abramovich would be looking at. We just posted profits. Abramovich is probably loving our new style and could be more driven to spend big on Falcao because of the next level that he can take us too. It excites all Chelsea fans and Abramovich is one of the biggest! I for one won't be surprised if he dishes out the money.

Our performances have been alright but the results have been frustrating. In these games we have a golden chance, miss and then the opposition goes on too score. Gutted that Terry is injured but Azpi was class today and the Iva, Cahill partnership looks promising. The crux of the matter is we're not clinical enough, not just Torres (who was unlucky today I guess). I can say with confidence that if we had Falcao I think we would of have more points right now. If we get our defense organised and balance reached we are IMO just a Falcao away from going to the next level.

LMFAO Maicon is on! Mancini forgotten Bale's on the pitch?
