  1. We could be, Torres didnt't leave yet and how he performs in the upcoming season will be very interesting to see. Things have looked better lately...
  2. Well tbh, not apprichiating Dannys talent and potential has to be due to blindness Even though it "sucked" to have him at RW he still produced alot of goals, and yeah, since he's naturally a forward im confident he would be a sucess there. Danny needs to be doing what he's best at, which is use his technique and quickness in the box and finish. I just dont get why people all of the sudden lost faith or trust in him..
  3. Not the same situation at all, the problem was more that Ibra took too much space for Messi and didnt get along with Pep. Zlatan still delivered. Torres didnt.
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3JUdryT9zI Was just looking at that, his goals in Liverpool and I just remember the hate-love I had towards him. I hated him because he always scored against Chelsea but loved him due to the absolute magnificant CF he was. Do u guys think he'll ever get at least that confidence back? I do see glimses of his movement sometimes and I do believe he has it in him, he just has to believe in himself. It would be an absolute delight to see him back in his old self like in that clip.
  5. Well, you do realize that the "eventually"-part could also be counter-productive? Look at Lukaku last season, sitting there and doing nothing with Drogba and Torres available, do u think he ever had a chance of making it through even if he'd score 3 goals in a game he jumped in to? In order to show yourself, break through etc you must be given playtime, and enough of it. Jumping in for a few minutes now and then wont do much good, so I dont really buy your arguement.
  6. I really hope so. And Lukaku should definatley go on a loan, I think he has potential and I hate what was done to him the last season just sittin there and wasting days. Perhaps a formation as below could be effective against lower ranked teams in the PL, or is it 4231 all the way? Cech Iva - Cahill - Luiz - Cole Mikel Hulk - Mata - Hazard Sturridge - Torres
  7. Wouldnt want him. Perhaps if he would be brought in when Drogba was around so he could straighten him up abit, but today? Nah, not Chelsea material.
  8. Seems Danny is being counted out by many here on the forums with all the talk around Hulk, Jovetic etc going on. Do people expect him to be sold? I would absolutley HATE to see Sturridge leave us, I think it would be a huge mistake. I would love to see him given playtime as CF as I am totally convinced he would do great there, but ive seen loads of people and their "wishlist starting 11" and no1 seem to even mention Danny. Will it be Torres and Danny fighting for CF or do u think Danny will be used on the wing again? Or worse; will he leave?
  9. I agree with everything you said except for the part with Josh. I honestly dont think that he should be in the first team the upcoming season. The right decision would be to send him on a loan where he can have lots of playtime. Having him in the first team would give him little playtime and thats not good for his development. Loan him out asap! I also understand your PoV when it comes to playstyle, technique and pshysicality. Although you have to look at the type of players that are currently in Chelsea. We're not the old Chelsea now and playing football with more technique, quickness etc is a MUST especially with Drogba gone. With that said, we still need to cover our asses and I believe we should have big and solid players as DM and I honestly dont want Modric after thinking about it, he will be too expensive plus id rather have someone like Mikel but with better passing and better movement. HOWEVER, we can disuss all we want here, it all comes down to what the idea of RDM is; what formation will be used, what tactics, whats the plan and idea? Depending on that some transfers can make sense or be totally idiotic. It also depends on which players we release/sell. At the moment we've got a shitload of midfielders so it mostly depends on what happens to them.
  10. Too good to be true.. Imagine this aswell for a change: Ramires - Mata - Hazard -----------Hulk--------------- or Hulk - Mata - Hazard --------Sturridge------ aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh
  11. Left wing (although he will probably rotate if we play 4231), 19 goals and 7 assists.
  12. Im not too excited about Maicon though, not that he's not a great player but Id rather see us go for someone younger.
  13. It would be total awesome madness if we landed Hazard, Hulk or Jovetic, Modric and a "cheap" young RB.
  14. Are u acually crazy or were u just ironic?
  15. Agreed. My point was that we will indeed be able to rotate and play in various different ways and still (on paper) be strong, as you also say. We can use Lampard, Mikel, Romeu and Ramires as DM, that is in my eyes enough quality there. Hazard, Mata, Hulk, Marin and then torres, sturridge up front. These players in harmony together is, again on paper, a devastating team with versatility. I cant wait for the new season to start!
  16. I belive we will be. I think our team will be very dynamic and we will be able to shift our tactics and approach nicely. A great way to start, perhaps the first 60 minutes or so would be: Cech Ivanovic - Cahill - Luiz - Cole Mikel/Romeu Hulk - Mata - Hazard Sturridge - Torres or Cech Iva - cahill - luiz - cole Romeu - Mikel Hulk/Ramires - Mata - Hazard/Marin Torres/Sturridge When a more defensive tactic is more needed, we could go for something like: Cech Iva - cahill - terry - cole Mikel - Romeu Ramires/Hulk - Mata/Meireles - Hazard Torres or even Cech iva - cahill - luiz - cole Romeu - Mikel - Lampard/Meireles Hulk/Ramires - Torres - Hazard/Mata Plus we'll also have Bertrand who has really stepped up bigtime, with Terry also not ruled out. I think we will look impressive with Hulk as an addition. Just having someone who can offload Ivanovic some would be awesome, though not a replacement yet. Our defensive capabilities are great, with cahill, luiz and terry at the center and mikel who i belive is great and will be greater plus Romeu who most seem to have forgotten.
  17. There is no other team like Barca, so when speaking in general terms u cannot use Barca as an example. And you are missing a point... If we, when we (counter)attack actually manage to score or get a decent goal-chance and dont lose the ball as much due to insecurity, slow moving or horrible passing we wont have to have the whole team defending. There is a differance in losing the ball due to mistakes and create a dangerous situation and to allow the other team to create the chances. I cant remember how many times I saw Chelsea fummling with the ball, losing it and then either almost conceding a goal or actually do. And many times these mistakes were in the defense, and the reason as I see it was that they didnt know what to do with the ball. There was zero creativity. Once again, using barca is a poor example beacuse they are a unique team and we will always be able to adapt our tactics against such team, because unlike barca we are actual able to adapt and have a plan b.
  18. I think they've become deluded after the Barca game. Obviousley they've forgotten the games where u got absolutley SICK watching Chelsea play, the slow build-ups, horrible passing, losing the ball and inability to score and losing to shit teams or being 1 goal up, desperate to score the whole game and then letting one in in the 85th minute losing 2 points. Im not saying defense isnt important, but the offense is necessary if we want to be at the very top. Plus it'll be much more exciting football to watch. Having Hazard - Mata - Hulk for instance up front with a solid defense and DM will be devastating to most teams.
  19. Im still asking, if it was luck when how come Barca hasnt beaten us for a long time and why are they always struggling against us? And when it comes to playing Sturridge out of position, we had both Drogba and Torres last season and only one option on the right wing except for danny, ramires. Im sure Danny will get playtime as CF next season. Wingers arent defenders. Get that in your head. You wont have to park the bus if you can score 2-3 goals, then letting one goal in doesnt matter as much. Chelseas problem the last 2 seasons but mostly the 1st half of the past season was the inability to score. We were always on the edge of losing and often the other team could equalize after us being up 1 goal. We need to play attacking football and tbh our defense is more than good enough, we dont need the whole team to play defensive.
  20. A valid point? Oh cut it...I see the Hazard and potential Hulk deal has made you guys gone mad and spoiled. Hazard - Mata - Ramires/Sturridge is more than good enough to win the league and more. If not, then please do tell me why.
  21. Eh, so u dont think having Hazard, Mata, Ramires, Sturridge, Marin, KDB is good enough to win the league? Pathetic..
  22. If luck was the case, why has Barca always struggled against Chelsea?
  23. Buying Moses to use him as backup would be a very stuipid move. First of all its a gamble and secondly, having Torres and using Sturridge as CF aswell is the best choice atm. Anything else is either impossible or madness.
  24. Dont want him. Id rather see us buy a strong and young DM with some ability to link the defense with the offense, meaning decent defensive ability with decent passes and distrubiton of the ball. And NOT a huge star, maybe someone in the price range of 15-20m who can slowly take over after Mikel and even lamps now.
