  1. Maybe that's the reason....should go for less big-name strikers who are under less pressure to deliver. Drogba, Costa..et al But seriously a lot of members here smelled trouble when we were linked with Lukaku. Apart from the Arsenal game, have not seen an instance where he feels like he belongs.
  2. Liked your post mainly out of nostalgia. Will never say no to Hazard returning, even if it was just to sit on the bench and crack jokes.
  3. At least we one the first game in December too, lol.
  4. Yeah Lukaku's influence on pattern of play was more worrisome for me. Probably not entirely his fault, but boy it doesn't look like he gels with the rest of the team. Neither he nor them seem to be able to play to each other's strengths
  5. It happens I guess. Mendy was just poor this game. Partially if not fully at fault for all the West Ham goals.
  6. I don't know about every week. But you have to admit that games like this one, Brentford away and Pool away show that this side is made of stronger stuff. Especially this one, considering we were largely second best and playing with a depleted squad.
  7. Would add Mount, and also maybe Silva (defense were like 6s and 7s until he came on).
  8. He was poor defensively, even by Alonso standards. But you have to admit., his first touches for both goals were exceptional. Especially that bit of control for the first goal. In a period when we were on the backfoot and struggling to beat their press, that was crucial.
  9. Danny Rose thinks he is still playing for Tottenham from 2016. Thug. Glad we stole the 3 points today.
  10. On the flip side,.when Chelsea has been on top of the table at that time you know what follows. Make or break time. Good that the CWC has been postponed (I believe?)
  11. United are so pathetic right now, they're practically helping their traditional rivals City and Liverpool get more titles. Rolling over for them and turning up against the one club that could preserve their standing (for now)
  12. Sigh....a win would have been so valuable here. Lost our buffer and we go into a tricky period. Game in midweek against Watford, and then West Ham away on Saturday~!!!
  13. Fucking travesty this match. Practically threw this one way.
  14. Need to beat them just to rub it into that toe sucker's face.
  15. Yeah, City usually are very business like when it comes to playing bread and butter games. It's why they have often ended up being league winners in past seasons. That being said, they've had a few stinkers this year., including that shock defeat to Palace
  16. Now that United have sorted their managerial problems, Carrick will be under no pressure. He will only be looking to get United over the line for Ragnick. So we need to be prepared for any kind of shithousery. It was almost always the case with Ole in charge, but it will be even more so. And again, some of their players will be looking to showcase themselves for the new manager. Need to be sharp and ruthless here.
  17. Lol..hasn't he played as RB before?
  18. True. I'm also hoping for Chillwell to make it back sooner rather than later., but don't understand the shade being thrown Alonsos way. Did we not win a PL title with him as the main left wing back? Plus he's started this season brightly. If we were stuck with Emerson..that would suck IMO.
  19. Does the telegraph cite the source? I think this bit of news was being circulated by the Sun.
  20. Alonso should start at LWB instead of Azpi. Don't want us to ruin our offensive play just because of an inverted wing back.
  21. You mean sort of like a Salamon Kalou version of Eden Hazard?
  22. Time for some revenge...shit Juve side raised their game just against us.
  23. And thankfully., United play in the CL before that. So we'll have some data.
  24. It really depends on how clever the manager is. The 'new manager effect' is more due to the fact that we don't know what kind of tactics they're going to employ because of limited data, rather than the opposition doing anything brilliant., although yes, their players will look to prove themselves again. I'm hoping we play cautious in the initial minutes.. and figure out their game plan before launching any assault.
