Feel a bit uneasy about this one. Granted, he's no Kante, but it reminds me of when Conte got Ngolo for cheap and convinced him to join us in 2016
-
Well Perisic and Bissouma have already gone to Spurs. So that's already happened, lol. Well maybe not confirmed yet for Bissouma, but anyway

Seems like it's a minor surgery for Kounde. Most likely the club will wait for him to recover and snap him up in time for pre-season. Until then, silence.
-
But should it really though? I mean the woman's team signed a player and Gilmour signed a contract extension. So it's not like things CANT happen quickly with new ownership. Whatever the reason, they're slow. End of.
-
He was an RCB option anyway. We should go all in for an LCB option this window, since that's the one we are lacking at this point. The current backup there is.... Sarr.
-
Would make sense. My only expectation, which I believe is the bare minimum, is that they repair our back line by signing at least 2 CBs. Anything more is a bonus.

One of the worst myths on here is that Emerson is somehow defensively superior to Alonso. IMO., he's even more dangerous. Whereas Alonso lacks speed and sometimes concentration., Emerson on the other hand flat out doesn't give a shit. He'll gladly let crosses swing in from his flank to cause chaos at the back, even if he's close to the attacker.

Not really the link you're looking for but here's something from a month ago:

Unfinished business at Inter perhaps? 😇

Battle of the number 9s next season. Haaland. Nunez. ..... .... Lukaku?
-
Honestly this is one instance were connections with the old guard have played a part. Lukaku unfortunately has strong connections with ex players like Drogba, Cech & Terry. I think these connections have won him favor and make his departure difficult
-
Can be a bit misleading, those stats. Esp. the Sterling one. Yeah, it shows that he has nearly double the goal tally and assist stat in comparison to Pulisic, but that's with him playing in a stacked City team. You put him in our squad and those numbers will likely drop. So the truth is really somewhere in the middle.
-
Eh...the player himself never sent a goodbye message. Unlike Rudiger. Honestly after the fuss he kicked about this season, the less said the better. Thanks for the CL final, I guess.
-
I would put both Sterling and Dembele in the category of frustrating players. Could do so much more, but end up falling short when it really matters. Sure, they maybe an upgrade on talent, but I thought we have plenty of frustrating talents in our squad already.
-
The transfer window officially opens tomorrow. Hope to see some action next week.
-
How long is it going to remain so quiet on the transfer front? It's been barely 2 weeks since the official takeover, so I guess there's that. Plus, maybe the nations league plays a part. Maybe we'll hear something more solid after that tournament concludes for the quarter on Jun 14?

Hate is mutual. Bayern is the club that I hate the most actually. Their cabal of ex players think they are superior and they crib about us buying players, when they've made a habit of poaching other Bundesliga clubs and monopolizing the league. Filthy hypocrites.
-
Hmm., but doesn't say how many chances those players are involved in. Guarantee that Mount and Havertz have been involved in more games and chances.
-
Yeah...true. I mean, unless we are signing an attacker that we know has serious potential to lead the Chelsea attack and not just be a supporting member, I don't see the point. Because we have plenty of those. Would be more interested in seeing how Havertz and Mount develop next year, rather than any attacker we are currently linked with. The main draw of Dembele to me is the potential of a free transfer. For his level of talent, that sounds good. Doubt he is going to be the solution to our problems though .
-
Hmm...we were looking at him at one point. Was hoping he would become another inspired signing for us.
-
Also, if that pic is to be believed, seems like we're sticking with the big hideous 3 in the center? Thought we would be changing them.
-
The first Nike kit was a beaut. Then they decided to go plum crazy. I'm still keeping hope for this year's home kit though. Yes, the collar looks hideous with the toothpaste like colour going across, but I'd still like to see it on a player. Didn't Liverpool have a collared Nike kit recently?

I'm looking at all the forums/youtube comment sections after this JT/Rio spat, and it looks like the majority consensus is that JT was superior. Even United fans were grudgingly admitting it. Only the hard-core red brigade would deny that. Then there's the ridiculous statement that Carvalho made JT look better. He has won premier leagues with at least 4 different CB partners, including Gallas, Alex and Cahill. JT may have potential limitations in a high line, but I think he would have played the sweeper role that Thiago is playing now, very well. He is supreme.

True...but just don't like the sight of the best Chelsea players being there. Seeing Cech there was bad enough, but I guess he remained Chelsea through and through at the end. The irony is that the ex-Arsenal players that were apparently past their prime went on to achieve great success here...Fabregas, Anelka, Giroud. Must have been frustrating for them to see that.
-
Would rather he stayed in Madrid than come to another club in the PL. Imagine him at Arsenal. Disgusting. They should take Lukaku instead.
