There's nothing wrong with getting excited about Oscar's performances in the Olympics. He's a young player doing very well against players in the same age bracket, it would have been understandable if your argument was over people getting excited with someone like Hulk tearing everyone apart, which funnily enough he isn't doing Anyway i watched him before the Olympics in friendlies against Denmark, USA and Argentina (like Land mentioned) and he impressed me there also.

And Ramires won't be on the wings wasting every single ball that comes his way, those crosses The midfield is still a source of concern, but we don't really have much better options atm.

Exactly, my main problem this preseason has been team selection. First 2-3 games doesn't matter, but after that i expected to see better selections than what RDM provided.

Actually it is an excuse, you saw how we played today, that is exactly how we played quite a lot of times last season. Keep possession, fail to break down opposition, then concede on the counter. You can almost tell everything that is going to happen before the game even starts. And when i saw the line up today i just had a bad feeling about the game. As for Marin, he will/should surely play a lot, he gives us genuine pace and width. Just needs to be better in his decision making.

Good point, Hazard and Marin have only started one game together also. And it's been clear we play differently when they are both in the side.

Indeed, i think because of what he did last season RDM wants to find a way to keep him in the side, but if i was a manager he wouldn't start most games, tbh. I would rather have someone like Benayoun in there in place of Marin than Ramires. At least he can pass.

The whole "it's preseason" excuses doesn't count anymore, it's been 5 games of preseason. That excuse only applies to first couple games when everyone is still not sharp. And i don't even care about the results (before someone attacks me lol) because like i said already, we have been playing the same team as last season, so you can't expect drastic changes. When the season starts, and we have Hazard, Mata, Oscar, and hopefully our new striker up there, then make your judgments.

Still not surprised by the performances, given that we are playing the same stupid team as last season with just Hazard replacing Mata. Ramires on the wings is just a waste of time in games where we have to break the opposition down, and we need more Pace and creativity in the side - Oscar, Mata and Marin will go a long way in fixing this.
