  1. Defence was actually solid today, without David Luiz in there but the forward players did not play as well. It happens though, there will always be games like these over the course of the season.
  2. The problem is Mikel imo. Romeu is being the DM while Mikel is pushing high up but he isn't doing much when he receives the ball, unlike Ramires who can make good runs and also take the ball forward and cause problems. Romeu for Ramires at half time please.
  3. ---------Cech--------- Azpi--Cahill--Ivan--Cole ----Ramires---Mikel------ Moses--Oscar--Hazard ----------Torres-------- If Luiz and Mata can't play.
  4. You're right, i do remember you defending his signing and it does not matter if you view him as a squad player or not, i'm just tired of people blaming others for Luiz's mistakes. Luiz lost the ball for the Man utd goal, most of the blame is on him, not Cahill for not being in the right positon - when he actually was or not stopping Hernandez - when all that would have resulted to was a red card. We all know Luiz is a good defender, he showed it many times last season, but these silly uncalled for mistakes are the difference between winning and losing big games. Even when he plays well, you just know he will at least fuck up once - check Newcastle game this season. It's for this and only this i prefer Cahill to him. It's not because Cahill is so much better, like i said already, he also makes mistakes, so does JT - but you will rarely see both make the kinds of mistakes Luiz does over and over.
  5. Because he doesn't do things like give the ball away in his half and leave everyone exposed. Cahill makes mistakes, because he's not some type of super defender that is meant to be able to perfectly mark every striker. If Luiz made those type of mistakes then he won't get nearly as much criticism, but no instead he plays hoofball for no reason, wanders out of position, loses the ball in midfield, tries to pinch everything, etc etc. And the overrated bit is hilarious and also ridiculous. You've been defending Luiz for a while now by picking on Cahill, just like you did/still do with Kalou and Torres.
  6. Thankfully, this is the last game Terry will be suspended for He makes silly mistakes at times, but our defence is not the same without him!
  7. It was definitely his fault. Look at how many people blamed Mikel for giving the ball away against Juve, even though we had like 6 men back. Luiz gave the ball away when only Mikel and Cahill were in a defensive position, they could do nothing to stop Hernandez who's first touch was very good. About Cahill's positioning - if you actually pay attention to our CB's you will notice they always stay very wide while the full backs push up. So Cahill was in the position he was meant to be, only way he would have been better positioned is if he was psychic and knew Luiz was going to lose the ball before he even got to the half way line. If Cahill was the one who lost the ball and left Luiz exposed, i'm 100% sure he would have received the blame. But now people are making excuses for Luiz, smh.
  8. 5 goals in 8 games, more prolific than our so called striker(s)
  9. Only change we need is Moses for Mata, who showed signs of tiredness yesterday.
  10. Ivanovic would have scored that header then again Nani and Welbeck would have beat Ivanovic several times lol.
  11. Some people make the most ridiculous excuses, but i'm not going to argue because i don't really have much against Sturridge. Hope he does better in his next outing.
  12. Watch it again and you will see Cahill was in his position while Mikel was going back to cover Luiz, but Luiz lost the ball before Mikel could even get back, so Hernandez just ran through - if Luiz was back there, it would not have happened.
  13. But Luiz should not be losing the ball there, if he hadn't we simply would not have conceded. I don't see what Cahill did wrong, he was in his position but Chicarito had managed to get between him and Mikel, hard for him to do anything, except bring him down and get a red.
  14. It only went to ET because of pretty stupid mistakes, their first 2 goals should have never happened. Even the commentators were saying, "Chelsea will not believe how they're down in this game" it also didn't help we kept missing chances, but some of those players had not played in a while so can't really blame them. In the end they all gave it their all and made sure we didn't lose 2 in a row to Man utd, and for that alone, i'm happy. Also championship team is pretty harsh on the United 11, except from the defenders, that team could challenge for a Europa League place. Just look at their strikers alone, certainly better than what most teams have.
  15. Good post, but i'd just like to mention he was up against 2 youth team CB's, not doing any of the things you said would have been criminal really.
  16. BvB won't sell him i don't think. We should also give chances to players like Ake and Kalas, although very young, they both look very promising.
  17. I have no problem with referees being lenient and not sending players off, it ruins games. He could have also sent off Romeu if he wanted but didn't. If only Clattenburg was like that.
  18. That Hazard pass to Ramires, probably assist of the season.
  19. Great game, deservedly won for a change against these lot.
