Today I learnt that Carvalho is still playing professional football. I can't believe I haven't heard a single word about him these last 2 years or so
-
Why do only the last 2 seasons matter? Excuse me Mourinho was given a full squad instead of only 2 or 3 players. The mere reason we haven't spent much money during Mou's second time here is because we have had good enough players already in the team before Mou arrived that we then sold to make money and room for "Mou players".
-
Because the club has invested enough money to guarantee a brand of football that shouldn't rely on luck and on the class of a single player in Hazard week in, week out.
-
I always wonder why fullbacks don't take pride in shutting down the opponent's best players. Seeing as most of nowadays' stars are wingers it baffles me that one wouldn't love to go against them game in, game out and put his mark on the game by completely destroying a team's main threat. That's one of the things I loved about Ash. He competed with the best of the best and neutralized everyone and everything coming down his flank during his prime.
-
I think he probably even has one of the highest top speeds in our team. He's not explosive, though, that's kind of to be expected with his mass and frame, but as soon as he had made 2 or 3 steps he really does seem pretty fast.
-
If you're talking about the best LB in the world and you don't mention the name Alaba we better stop discussing.
-
I don't even know what to say
-
I'm quite happy there's no "TC Meltdown" on Twitter.
-
Might as well just play 2 sloths if Terry/Pique is the CB partnership.
-
It's bound to happen, unfortunately.
-
Remy is a top squad player and should be USED like one. He hasn't been so far and that's what's pissing people off. What harm does starting Remy do when Costa is in a bad form anyway? During the winter time Costa didn't cover himself in glory and playing Remy would not only have given us something new but also rested Costa. That's what squad players are actually there for: give them a start here and there to keep the starters fresh. Mourinho has failed to do so and I don't see how you could claim anything else really.
-
It doesn't matter how you get that pass you just get it out. That's one of the first things you learn as a GK. No fancy BS.
-
His defensive positioning is suspect at times but that comes with playing alongside a slow CB that can't cover for Luis' spaces I guess.
-
Any chance you could tell us how Eva's doing these days? With you being in the medical staff and all you can surely tell us.
-
S/O to Oscar for not standing in the way all the time. Small steps, small steps.
-
Injured, AFAIK. Think Mou said he should be ready for the next game or something.
-
Zouma playing the Mikel role now. What has this world come down to
-
Expect Remy not to start a single game this season.
-
Best move ever.
-
Sold Mata who can produce goals any given moment. Sold Schürrle who was our best AM at running into spaces. Kept Willian who can't beat a man, doesn't set up any goals, can't score to save his life. Kept Oscar who has 2 great games every season and does fuck all the rest of the year. Having no super-sub that can make an impact off the bench is... well, not so good.
-
Thanks, didn' know that!
-
Why are there those annoying lines all over the pitch?!
-
Remember when some people were saying that Mata's assist numbers were inflated because he had produced so many goals at set-pieces? Well, I'd take one of those inflated assists any day.
-
Mata's set-piece artistry alone should have been enough to keep him over any of our AMs except for Hazard.
-
It's a shame Mikel is not on the bench. Mou would probably like to keep the draw.
