  1. Da fuck?! Asmir has been nothing short of world-class so far (bar Everton's 3rd goal), how have we exactly missed Courtois?
  2. To think some people want(ed) that Gooner as a captain over Cesar due to "experience"...
  3. Not sure whether you've ever been on a Dortmund forum or not but all fans are happy they parted ways with Klopp
  4. I mean FFS mate, if you really think Ivanovic in his current form is better than Baba then I'm at a loss for words. Even if Mineiro was the only player left to replace Ivanovic you'd have to do it to make a point.
  5. Few thoughts... 1. Most people shudder at the thought of bringing in an AVB-esque coach but I'd be all for it if we sacked Mourinho. The major part of AVB's failure was the dressing room; now, with almost everyone from the old guard gone, I'd love us to hire a young coach who has yet to prove himself at a big club. We have a lot of young players in the current squad and to me it feels like we need someone who can grow with that group of players. No more old men teaching the young guys with their experience, get someone who is willing to learn and knows how this generation's brains work. 2. If we proceeded to fire Mourinho you have to go full measure and get rid of Ivanovic. Anyone who's been visiting Brane's thread last season knows that I was one of the few who defended him more often than not but even I can't find any words for Brane's clusterfuck of a season so far. It's clear Ivanovic has a high standing in the squad so benching him all of a sudden won't do the team climate any good. Group dynamics don't work like that. Sell him and give the reigns of leadership over to the new generation. There will never be new leaders as long as the current senior players are leading the rest of the team straight into Mordor. 3. While we're at it, get that fucking Gooner out. Just kidding, just kidding. Or not?! Seriously, if the plan is to keep Fabregas as a starter then at least play a system that won't expose him as badly as is happing currently. Fabregas is probably even getting run past on his way to the supermarket in these days. 4. Going to use the same phrase as before: go full measure when buying players. Either you buy world-class talent or you lose ground. Simple as that. If you don't believe that a player is good enough to start for a top team right now or doesn't have the potential to do so in a year don't buy him. It's okay to have 3 or 4 players in the team that just scream rotational players but that's about it IMO. You need a few of these players because no matter how good your squad rotation is having 7 world-class players constantly on the bench will never work (egos, ambition, NT importance etc). However, and I'm being repititive now, every top club manages having 2 or 3 world-class players on the bench, I don't see why we should have to be the exception. Eventually, injuries kick in and you need a couple of players whose performances will be on par with those they are replacing. There's no reason to settle for anything less than having the best squad. 5. Mentality change regarding spending money on players, please! I don't want anything to do with penny-pinching over 10m or something and then claiming a victory that we didn't spend "a crazy sum" on a player. These are nothing more than moral victories, for which Wenger and Rodgers are constantly being laughed at by dozens of people on this forum and Chelsea fans in general. If people are so concerned about being financially stable then why not think one step further and consider that winning usually equals making higher profits. I'd rather take my chances and invest confidently to win as many titles as possible every season than pay little money because we can save 10 or 20m by doing so. According to the UEFA ranking we're the 4th best team in Europe. Again, there's no reason to settle for being second place. The ambition should always be being the #1 and big transfers play a huge part in achieving that goal nowadays. There should be no pride in being 2nd best considering the status of Chelsea Football Club.
  6. How about 1 single change? Like, for example, just spitballing here, implementing an attacking system that doesn't rely on useless crosses from your slow-ass RB for the majority of the game?
  7. You gotta be more precise here, though. The guys that were instrumental in those 3 games are mostly not playing today: Costa, RLC, Kenedy, hell even Mikel.
  8. It's amazing, really. By now you'd expect Mourinho to see that our midfield would even get run over by someone in a wheelchair, so why not press them? Why the fuck did we keep Oscar over Mata/KDB if you're not gonna use his pressing ability at all?!
  9. I can't believe the first half's already almost over. This has been so depressing to watch
  10. Ivanovic has started to be beaten even by college stoners now. That's how far this has gone already.
  11. Oh man, getting outplayed by a McClaren side is... quite something. We better not drop any points here, really.
  12. Mikel, RLC, and Kenedy weren't too bad, I guess.
  13. Cahill just got called for something that Hazard didn't receive a penalty for. FA with dat consistency
  14. MikelGOD with some Pirlo-esque shit out there
  15. Zouma MOTM. Closely followed in second by Mikel.
  16. Gotta bring on Mikel to defend that 2:0 lead vs 9 men for the last 5 mins...
