  1. I don't think he's a bad signing but would have preferred we gave that spot to Thorgan, personally. anyway welcome to Chelsea lad
  2. The bolded sentence further proves my point and I have heard Neil Bath, emenalo and Steve holland say something to that effect. even if it's true (arguable as it's never that black and white) how can we expect to produce the next JT with such attitude and mentality when we will simply just dismiss their performance on loan to weak competition at a lower level to us and never give them a proper chance. You don't hear bayern munich use that weak reasoning to doubt Alaba's ability and performance on loan at Hoffenheim then sign an established or flavor of the month left back to take up his spot in the team for example.
  3. Tbh I have already given up on us ever producing a first team player from the academy for a very long time. As long as there's desire and demand to achieve instant success and that desire is fueled by the believe or myth that "you cannot win anything with youth/kids". It will continue to be a never ending cycle of disappointment and failure to actualize the goal.
  4. Perhaps lukaku and Courtois might get their chances but that's due to their high profile (as emenalo would say "pedigree") and the amount we have invested on them especially with Lukaku. As for the rest, I can't see it.
  5. Why look inward and be efficient (common sense) when you can just throw money at it.
  6. Ironic but the truth nonetheless. simply a case of the right message/comment coming from the wrong person doesn't invalidate the message any less
  7. Awww looks like I got under someones skin. how cute. lmao
  8. No I will stick around so I can continue to educate idiots like you and discuss football with fellow chelsea fans who doesn't have their head stuck up Jose's butt
  9. When I talk of no 10's (I will exclude the ozil, silva types) this is what they look like. Notice the close control, vision, defence splitting passes, imagination and just all round fantastic creativity. These are the type of quality a top club needs and worth losing a player like mata for not oscar.
  10. Thou shall not sell the zoro. He must have his own statue outside the bridge when he retires
  11. I thought I was going crazy because i couldn't for the life of me see anything remotely special in his technical (or should I say non defensive game) He doesn't have close control, lacks vision and passing of a playmaker, has tendency to gets clumsy on the ball and loses possession when under pressure and very unadventurous with majority of his passes for a "suppose no 10". if he develops into half the player sneijder was in his prime (which is very unlikely) as he isn't born with such technical ability and qualities then I would be a happy chappy. Perhaps I have become too spoilt from watching artists like Zola and mata in the blues uniform and need to significantly lower my standard and expectation.
  12. Deco was already 30 when he left barca and Ronaldinho, even though, younger than deco, had become distracted by non footballing activities such as partying and drinking, battled with weight issues which saw a dramatic decline in his performance way before pep even took over and Eto'o was widely reported to be a poisonous influence in the dressing room who constantly undermined Guardiola (even if he wasn't totally past his prime, that's a very good grounds for dismissal). Mata's case is completely different here.
  13. Stay to do what? warm the bench and continue to withstand the humiliation.
  14. Except those players were all past their prime when he sold them especially deco and ronaldinho. mata is still in his prime. some would even argue that he's just approaching his prime and can only get better. apples and oranges.
  15. My sentiments exactly. Now watch the vultures tear you apart.
  16. Lettuce be cereal. salads are good for you
  17. I want to propose that Roman dismantles the current board and makes basic IQ testing mandatory during the recruitment process of new board members in the future and while the programme is in place, I suggest he takes one himself as well.
  18. Could be worse. We are lucky Heskey never scored against since the policy began.
  19. It's a shame we don't have the British messi to fill the homegrown quota.
  20. Some of the fans don't give a shit about mata either.
  21. Or 14 "wonderkids" to ship out on loan as per usual.
  22. Well goodbye mata. thanks for all the great memories and joy you brought to the lives of some of us. A true artist and a total gentlemen as well. Not many players can be called an artistic genius in football but he belongs in that elite category. wishing him good luck.
  23. I thought Moses, Marin and kakuta were meant to be mata's replacement. we are well stocked lads
