  1. How's he a cunt? I have never seen him at the center of any footie controversy before
  2. Why is Harry so unpopular on here? I c certainly think he's a great motivator and a decent tactician and could do a good job if given the financial support and freedom to do his job.
  3. You have pretty much given up on our board of directors and their tendencies to interfere with the squad lol. don't you think Abramovich would have learned his lesson by now?. £50 million pound investment that's rapidly looking like a waste and the effect of ray Wilkins sacking on the team should motivate even the most stubborn individual to change.
  4. But the next manager would more or less inherit the Dutch's team. wouldn't it make more sense if we employed a long term manager instead. that way he's able to buy players that complements his style of play and tactics and fully impose himself on the team?
  5. We can always get a German translator. That shouldn't be too costly  If we actually show real interest, we can realistically get klopp. Hiring Guus for short term purposes can only undermine our long term objectives imo.
  6. It's pointless discussing Guus anyway as he's stated his intention to never coach or manage at club level again. Unless he changes his mind in the near future ofcourse. It's better to focus on the more realistic options. personally I would prefer Moyes or Jurgen Klopp
  7. I'm a simpleton because I challenged your overly presumptuous view ?
  8. I get what you mean about experience and all that but we shouldn't presume that MVB will crumble under the weight of expectation neither.
  9. Is there any scientific study(s) that shows a manager's ability to deal with pressure is directly linked to age? Or are you basing your assertion off perception. just curious
  10. Technically speaking, There's no significant difference between scolari's performance and Ancelotti's this season. Why didn't the Brazilian receive any support from the fans?. We could have given him time to. Likewise Avram Grant given his outstanding exploit that almost delivered our first UCL title. IMHO if anyone deserved more time at Chelsea, it was certainly the Israeli whose sacking was never justified given how breathtaking we performed under him. At least the team showed more spirit, gut and determination during his regime.
  11. Like Abramovich actually gives a shit lmao
  12. While it's true that people mature over time. Age is just a number and should never become an indice for determining a manager's quality and capability. How old was Mourinho when he won the trebble and UCL with porto. Guardiola does not have gray hair neither
  13. Seeking continuity with the wrong manager is counter-productive IMHO. Ancelotti's sacking was fully justified even though it could have been handled differently and that's the only criticism I have with the board. How do you sack a manager immediately after the post match interview lol.
  14. Technically Anelka,Kalou, neymar are not wingers neither but they can play as a right/left wing forward. Besides I don't see how sturridge would bench a £50 million pound investment. The only way to play him in his right position is to change the formation to 442. However history has shown that 433 is our most effective formation.
  15. Jay Bothroyd?. What's next, Owusu Abeyie and Marlon King
  16. 1) Be a commanding presence in the dressing room 2) Have a plan B ready in case plan A fails. . leave no stone unturned 3) Adapt your tactics and team selection according to the opponent.( the tactic that worked against Liverpool may be ineffective against wigan) 4) Take more risk and be innovative 5) Have some balls. . .drop underperforming players and treat everyone equally. therefore no preferencial treatment (that applies to JT,Lampard, essien et al) 6) Judge and treat players based on their individual merits and form rather than age or experience 7) get rid of players that are disruptive to the dressing room or undermine the team's effort. 8) Smoke some weed from time to time to get your mind right during down times as this job isn't for the faint hearted :eyebrows: and goodluck
  17. Are you serious mate? A coach could not prove his competency in one of the best club and league in the world for 14 years and you ask me what my point is? oh yeah we should have given him 28 years to prove his mettle. smh
  18. At this rate, we could sack the entire team and backroom staff
  19. But he had 14 solid years to prove his mettle in Italy?
  20. To succesfully build for the future, a manager who has a decent track record of working with and developing young talents into world class players is essential. Do you think Carlo has this vital quality?
  21. We are proud of you too. How's your weekend going mate?
  22. WTH. no hand shake? no chop knuckle? nothing, just good bye? I'm disappointed
  23. It's better to have a repetitive but sound and convincing argument backed up with facts and statistics. If my points were actually addressed objectively and the same old stale and tired argument were not recycled by the carlo camp (double,injury-crisis,thin squad, stability etc) perhaps I wouldn't be so repetitive
