  1. "To get such an amazing player when other big, big clubs are after him as well is amazing." - José Mourinho tomorrow probably
  2. In some strange, perverse way I actually do think Wenger would prefer to sell him to us than Mourinho and United. He's still probably incensed about RvP and vowed never to sell a player there again.
  3. And there's Chelsea's comically late token "interest" when he's probably already inked his United contract. Actually, I think it's more likely that United are up to some mischief to embarrass Conte here.
  4. Arsenal are going to sign Aubameyang while we sign Andy Carroll. Unreal. 😂 The team in 6th with no chance to accomplish anything this season are showing more ambition than us.
  5. 😂😂😂 Andy himself can't fucking believe it and has pissed himself.
  6. They know if they loan him and he pulls a Falcao or Pato they'll never be rid of him.
  7. Want him here sooo badly. 😩 Imagining him playing in 3-4-3 against all these annoying smaller teams with Hazard and Morata. He makes so much sense. I have this terrible feeling he'll end up at one of Arsenal, Spuds, or Liverpool which would be devastating.
  8. Yep. Hazard especially has to be looking at the signings the Manchester clubs have been making recently compared to us and shaking his head.
  9. Just saw an article from ESPN detailing why Sanchez does and does not make sense for us and honestly the cons are definitely true. Mainly the wages part. If Sanchez were to come in and command £350-400k a week why would Hazard ask for a penny less to stay? It would probably completely cripple our wage structure. That's got to be the sole stumbling block here. Whereas Mourinho and United are more than willing to work with slimey agents who want huge fees themselves (like they did with Pogba and Lukaku) and are willing to pay literally whatever it takes in wages. We simply can't compete.
  10. Could you even imagine in your wildest dreams Guardiola or Mourinho signing Carroll? Never. They'll laugh themselves to sleep if we do.
  11. Like, I can actually see Carroll being more useful and less shit than Batshuayi but there are a dozen other strikers we could probably get that you can say that about. Someone in our board room has a hard on for English players now.
  12. The likes of Alexis and Aubameyang are on the move and Chelsea are after Andy Carroll. We're a fucking embarrassment. Laughing stock if this happens.
  13. So looks as though Mourinho will do what he loves doing most once again - waiting until a rival shows strong interest in a player and then sneaks in and "steals" them.
  14. That's certainly part of it but I also think it's just not in his character. He's an easy going, nonchalant player. Almost a bit lazy like Özil. Doesn't enjoy expending much energy without the ball. Even times when you see Conte yelling "Go! Go! Go!" on the touchline for our players to press up he does so halfheartedly.
  15. Not dominant but a serious threat. With as shite as even the best teams in the world are defensively they'll cause anyone problems with their attack.
  16. Like I said, we simply don't have the players to do what Spuds and Liverpool do. As world class as Eden is, he's ain't pressing and running like a madman like Salah/Mané/Son etc do. Cesc is as slow as I am and I'm not a professional athlete. He can't press. Bakayoko is a headless chicken who would kick people to shreds if he pressed high. I can picture in my mind the likes of Pedro, Willian, and Kante playing super high energy games but unlike Salah and Mané neither Pedro or Willian will score double figures like they do. At the moment we're sort of caught in limbo. The 3-4-3 that was brilliant last season has been figured out and we kind of have an identity problem.
  17. Their fans will definitely go overboard but for once I cant blame them. Their future looks extremely bright.
  18. Maybe once they realize that a CL place is in serious jeopardy they'll act.
  19. Yeah, they've got their star CB. They'll get their star midfielder Keita in the summer. Already have a ridiculous attack. Now they'll have the Coutinho money to spend on top of whatever else they were already going to spend.
  20. Liverpool still have 160m to fill holes in their squad as well.
  21. Pressing, pressing, pressing. Relentless energy. You can make up for not having world class players by being well coached. Liverpool & Spuds now gaining serious momentum right when we are crumbling. Both scoring at will while we can't buy a goal.
  22. Poor keeping yes, but still pinpoint accurate. Probably the only place he could've scored. Sucks watching other teams doing things that we simply aren't capable of with our personnel. The relentlessness of the attacking play, the ridiculous production City are getting from both wide players, the ease with which both of these clubs can pop the ball around. Whereas we look so ponderous and stale.
  23. That's a ridiculous strike from Sané.
  24. Wish we could attack as relentlessly as Liverpool do.
