Absolutely, the bottom line is that Grant needs to go. I would doubt that we will ever find out or truly know everything about what has gone on and the reasons for it but i am sure that he will be gone by the summer.
-
Absolutely!!! Watching those lot play in the reserves last week was truly awful!! Di Santo is already a better option than either Sheva or Pizarro!!!
-
Lol I would find it very hard to believe that Roman is happy to carry on with Grant. It really wouldn't suprise me if the plan was always for Grant to only stay for this season while we wait for whatever manager was our real target!
-
Derby and Sunderland will be games we will win. But if we do not win them comfortably then more questions will be asked. Spuds and the Arse will be tough games for us and then with the CL we will definately struggle and more so if we draw one of the English teams..
-
It is possible granted, but it is also unlikely that we will win either of them!
-
Kenyon and Buck have to talk the talk of the club. You could see from when Grant was unveiled they were not comfortable, they couldn't exactly come out and say "This is stupid" and also they are not football men, they are business men. Abramovich has made this scenario and he now has to fix it.
-
As much as i want the change in the club i just cant bring myself to WANT us to lose! I would hope that even a CL or Prem title wouldn't save Grant now as it is clear he is not good enough.
-
Yup same here.... Our attack needs to be sorted big time
-
Simmonds never looked anything other than extrmely ordinary to me. And he is obviously dropping right down to try and buid up rather that trying to fight it out in the Championship/League 1 and struggle to play.
-
I think the Essien thing was somewhat made up! Roman needs to get a grip of things, we have no idea how much his advisers/hangers on influence him or he does make all his own decsisions... The best case scenario i can think of is that Grant was put in this season to tide things over while we appoint a proper world class manager - because if Roman actually believed Grant could take us forward then he must be high or something...
-
I just can't see any way that we are going to win the CL or the Prem, we can't even get past Barnsley or Spuds in the cups there is no way that we can win the CL and we are not going to be consistant enough to win the Prem, even though both Arse and Manure are letting us in...
-
Oh dear, what a comedown for simmonds!!! Was one of our top prospects a few seasons ago, although i never saw anything that made me agree with that! It would seem that Worley is going to be leaving so this could with a view to a permanant deal!
-
A full overhaul is needed in the summer! We need to completely change the set up and bring someone in who can shake things up, and also make big choices because there are going to need to be some big name casualties in the summer.
-
I would bite their f**king hand off. £5m would be good business for us and get some deadwood out of our squad......
-
Can't say i have any knowledge of him as a manager so i have no idea how i would feel about that! But at the moment, anyone else is sounding pretty good. But what we need is someone who we KNOW is going to bring us what we need.
-
It really is crazy, we have 2 fantastic performances in the middle of 2 dismal ones where we squander 2 cups that should have been ours for the taking..... For me there is no way out of this, there is no way we are going to win the CL with Grant in charge, it just won't happen! And we are not going to be consistant enough to win the Prem either.. I just can't wait till the summer now! There needs to be some MAJOR reconstruction work going on..
-
F**king awful performance, only Joe Cole on his game. Anelka couldn't stay central and we lost some thrust through the middle because of that and Malouda once again offered us nothing!
-
I would be suprised if he gets the boot before the end of the season now! But there is no doubt that he should be gone now in the summer no matter what happens now! 2 cups gone which should have been ours at a stroll!!! Even though the Prem is opening up i can't see us winning and once we draw one of the big boys in the CL we can kiss that goodbye as well!!!
-
I agree some sort of clearout is in order. Watching the reserve game last week and the first team players who were playing played just as poorly as they do for the first team. Ben Haim, Sidwell, Pizarro and even Shevchenko are just not playing good enough and are becomming dead weight in the team. Malouda either needs to sort himself out or just go because he is offering us nothing whatsoever, SWP's time has run out and we need to get in 2 new wingers. Our first 11 is top class but behind that we are carrying some poor players and we need some players with hunger in their place..
-
Indeed he has proven it, played against all of the big 3 teams too and been able to perform so it doesn't get much bigger than that.. Lol, i bet you would...
-
The fact he has been a first team squad member this season and made a handful of appearances says a lot about him considering he is only 18. I think he should be past loan deals now, but loan deals are important, because it is only playing first team competitive football that you can make the final part of the learning curve! He has proved already that he can do it at Championship level, but i just hope he has a stormer while there..... I agree Sinclair would be a useful option. I guess Grant just won't take the risk considering he is under immense pressure..
-
Lol, he might do!! Still think it was the wrong thing to do and he could have done a job for us if Grant had the balls to play him! Just hope he has a storming end to the season with them and makes a real case for next season!

Chelsea teenager Scott Sinclair has linked up with Charlton Athletic on loan for the rest of the season. Sinclair has yet to establish himself in the first-team squad at Stamford Bridge and has already been on loan at Queens Park Rangers this term. He will now spend the closing months of the campaign at the Valley after rejecting interest from other Championship clubs. "I'm really excited to be here," Sinclair told Charlton's official website. "I've come here to get more experience, and I want to keep playing and get some goals for the club. "There were a few clubs in for me, but I thought Charlton would be the right one for me and I'm sure I've made the right choice." The 18-year-old has made six appearances for Chelsea this season and feels his stint at Charlton will boost his prospects of becoming a fixture in Avram Grant's plans at his parent club. He added: "I've had a few starts for Chelsea, but it's been frustrating trying to break through there, with all the good players they have. "That's why I've chosen to come to Charlton. It's a club that seems like it is ready for the Premier League and I think with the squad that we have got we can definitely reach it." Source: Sky Sports
