  1. Still havn't seen any news of this! I know he was trying to impliment it but EU law was stopping him. It is different to the "home grown" rule already in place..... It would, in the long run be a great idea to help football. But short term will cause chaos...
  2. SWP for me has had his chances and is just not good enough. I would like to see him go in the summer and a top class winger come in. Malouda i would happy to give him another chance but he REALLY needs to put some serious work in....
  3. It is certainly possible and i think this summer is going to one of the most interesting in our history (unless grant manages to keep his job)....
  4. Agree Alex has been top class!! But i think overall he will look at this season and say that he has played more games than he probably thought he would have at the start of the season.... Alex can always come in for JT, Essien or Mikel for Maka. But if you ask me it all falls down if we bring in Malouda or SWP for Cole or Kalou...
  5. We need someone who will set us up for the long term, someone who knows what is required to build a team to always compete and someone who knows how to bring new and young players through to the first team...
  6. Nothing wrong with Ballack at all! Lampard and Ballack are working very well together, but i do think we need more creativity in the middle. I think that Maka will probably retire at the end of the season, Sidwell will be sold which will leave us with 4 midfielders in our squad for 3 positions so there will be room for 1 or 2 more...
  7. The players were far too relaxed when Derby scored and it was a bit of luck that saw the ball fall to their striker! The big games is where we have come unstuck this season, Arsenal, Man you, Liverpool, Carling Cup Final, FA Cup Quarter final... we have a team of players who can beat anyone, I would be suprised now if Grant deviated much from this team. Joe Cole and Kalou will be virtually permanant fixtures......... Lampard and Ballack are working very very well together now and are becomming a formidable teaming with either Maka, Essien or Mikel behind them, one of them getting far forward and the other working the middle of the park...
  8. We are in a situation now where Grant has stumbled upon a winning line up, one that actually works! Now barring replacing Cudicini with Cech and Drogba for Anelka if Grant doesn't play this team every game now he is even more stupid that he looks (which is saying something) and if he DOES play this team every game, then there is a very real possibility we could actually win the Prem or CL.......... And if we did it would have nothing to do with Grants skills!!
  9. I think that statement was more about Lampard than Diego! To be honest i don't see how the 2 are linked!! Lampard can stay AND we can sign Diego or any other playmaker and i think we will too....
  10. Make no mistake, this game and result has no bearing on the situation with Grant, and neither will the game against Sunderland! The games that are going to matter are the games against Spurs and Arsenal... completely agree, it seems unless they are playing together we can't play football and create chances. They are the ones that are making things happen and picking up some goals too, Kalou has now scored the same as Drogba - 10 goals.... It was almost the perfect performance, we could have scored more goals but it was pretty damn good! Lampard showed his class again, what a cracking game from him. The title race is very interesting now! But can we win our games against Arsenal and Man you???
  11. I couldn't agree more. No winger in the world beats their man everytime they run at them. But running at the defenders is more likely to make things happen than trying to pass around them! We need a right winger who can do the same to rotate with Joe Cole...
  12. I guess it depends on the reasoning for him to be on the bench.... could have been they played a different formation or something. Who knows, but he would definately be good enough for Charlton..
  13. I did see this earlier, but wasn't sure how accurate it was! I would still use him for our first team. If he is going on loan he needs to be playing the games!!!
  14. Not really sure actually, i wouldn't mind seeing any of Modric, Van Der Vaart or Diego... can't say i have seen enough of them to say who is better ect.. all i know is that they are exactly what we need at the moment - as well as 1 top class winger..
  15. Well we can't sign everyone! And we are definately in the hunt for a playmaker now so we should get someone in this summer....
  16. Lol, unfortunately what he means is that replace "someone" with Roman.
  17. Well i hope he is feeling the heat after the Chelsea fans let their feelings known tonight! He is making himself look even more of a mug with the things he is saying....
  18. Well i am sure with our network of scouts the club know about him. At the moment just getting a top class playmaker is a priority for us....
  19. There is no doubt that Grant will put out his strongets possible side to make sure that things look "rosy" again with a nice thumping of Derby. Would be nice to see Mikel get a game who for some reason hasn't had a look in recently despite being one of our better players!
  20. Well before we start thinking about replacements we need to be assured that the club will actually get rid of the useless plank first!!! But there are names being lined up now, Mancini, Rightguard, Dechamps, Hiddink ect...
  21. It's different to the Duff situation, and Duff was knackered! Every player linked to us at the moment aparently spells the end for either Drogba or Lampard, but i don't think that is true at all. I would be very very very suprised if Lampard does leave.... On Diego though, would be a decent signing, and again like other midfielders linked with us (Modric, Van Der Vaart ect..) is exactly the sort of player we need and the type we desperately need to sign in the summer.
  22. Frank Lampard's future at Stamford Bridge could be put into jeopardy with the news that Chelsea are lining-up a swoop for Brazilian midfielder Diego. Last season's Player of the Year in the Bundesliga, Diego would cost around £25 million from Werder Bremen. Diego is currently under contract with the German club until 2011, but Werder Bremen will be hard-pressed to turn down such an offer if Chelsea pursued their target. According to the Sun newspaper, a Chelsea source said: "Frank's one of our most loyal players yet, unbelievably, there is still no sign of a new contract, even though we all know he can go on a Bosman soon as he has one year left on his present deal. "Now there's a real fear the club are ready to lose him and bring in a Brazilian who has no experience of the English game." Diego was believed to have been watched by scouts acting for Europe's top clubs at Ibrox last week where Werder Bremen lost to Rangers in the Uefa Cup. The Chelsea source added: "There is a lot of talk going on around the club about Diego. "There is loads of interest across Europe but Chelsea are the most likely to come up with the money." Meanwhile, Lampard and Didier Drogba, who both missed Saturday's FA Cup defeat against Barnsley, could return to the starting line-up against Derby tonight, while Petr Cech may also be ready for a recall after missing the trip with a sprained ankle. Derby manager Paul Jewell will once again be without injured quartet Giles Barnes, Dean Leacock, Claude Davis and Tyrone Mears for the trip to London. In November, Chelsea won 2-0 at Pride Park thanks to goals by Salomon Kalou and Shaun Wright-Phillips. Source: Telegraph
  23. Stoch at 16 wasn't even close to Kakuta. Stoch now is the bollox and is going to be a top class player. But as far as skill and ability goes Kakuta is better, now he needs to develop in the same way Stoch has and he will be unreal.
  24. Would be an absolute joke if that were to happen!!!
