Also my point is not getting already proven talents, but getting players who show a lot of promise and turn them into the next Messi, Drogba, Ronaldo et al. Drogba transfer was heavily questioned and critcized but see what he became. I wan't people like that to enter the club. That's why I am always skeptical about players who have won too many medals/trophies under a team. I feel they won't be motivated enough. We need players like Hazard who are good but at the same time would be hungry to get titles under their belt <I know it is hard to find still that is the kind of players we should really be chasing >

That needs to change. I can go a season or two without trophies for sake of building a good team/ good football.

Sorry I missed them out totally forgot. Fabregas in my eyes is still not good business, he is nowhere near what he performed at Arsenal. I have mentioned numerous times in many threads last season was freak show, we were the best of the bad lot( which doesn't change the fact we were one among the bad lot). Costa is monster but is injury prone (which we knew and still went after him) and we will see how good he really is this season (wait and watch) with all our opponents looking mighty strong. Cesc is no where near what he used to perform at Arsenal, Villa also post Barcelona haven't even seen him in the news for anything( literally forgot that he was once a great). Sanchez, Ibra, Eto I agree performed well. Just that last few years the players our club have gone after have all been crappy and the fact that united pulled back makes me skeptical.

till last night I saw news saying Pedro set to join United on Skysports and suddenly we are favorites to sign him ? What changed ? Hope he is still as good as we want him to be. Yay ! The way our rivals are strengthening their squad doesn't look like we hold a chance unless we change something the way we play and the players start playing to their potential. Unfortunately no one in our starting 11 seem like they can perform consistently well ( then again why am I thinking of individuals, yeah right because I haven't seen us play really cohessively well as a team) We have been depending on glimmer of magic from someone to score the winner .

Maybe, after all football is a team game.

Once again we were better of the worst lot, that resulted in lifting the title. Anyone else feeling a little concerned about Hazard's play? Some times he seems like Ronaldo to me, goes missing when the team needs his magic. Or is it that the other players playing so bad that he loses interest?
