i am sorry choulo but u have got it all wrong. last season, iva was not the ideal RB. he did not stop crosses, but you can count the number of times when any winger in the world went past him on your fingers. and i am talking about the whole season. the way brahimi man-handled iva was embarassing but what is even more surprising that no one on here was actually surprised by it. i remember u vouching for iva before the match, but you had it wrong then and you have it wrong now. the way iva has performed this season is no where near to the normal iva. yes, he has his flaws but going past iva would probably have been one of the toughest jobs in the world for a winger.

this has nothing to do with costa's bad spell. you can go to the costa thread and even when he was banging in goals, some people like lionsden were still saying that his hold up and link up play was average. it has nothing to do with his "dry spell". the point being lukaku is 22 and has some massive potentials. despite lukaku "struggling" last season and having a poor season, he had 20 goals and 7 assists compared to costa's 20 goals and 5 assists. its not just 8 games which are being used to do this.

muller is CLASS. absolute CLASS. the guy is perfect in his basics of the game. a good first touch, good finishing, tremendous workrate, good speed, passing range but what really sets him apart is his footballing brain. we had a player like that called frank lampard sans the speed. but dont know why he would leave bayern. no chance.

which part of lukaku's play is not? goal scoring - he is brilliant. hold up and link up play - he is improving per game and costa's hold up and link up play is average at best. in the air, lukaku trumps costa. i mean i dont remember the last time i saw costa win a longball or even score from a header. costa's shooting from outside the box is well, non existent. i am sorry, but lukaku already is as good as costa. dont even know why u r bringing martial/henry comparision here. henry was the best striker at a point of time. costa does not even come close to that. the gap between martial and henry is day and night. the gap between costa and lukaku barely exists. remy made a terrible career choice joining qpr then loaned to newcastle etc etc. i think the sole reason behind that move being money lukaku took a step down to play first team football. dont think that would be lukaku's fate.

azpi is a good defensive LB. he is downright poor when it comes to attack as a LB. his link up play with hazard is poor. he is normally shifting the ball from his left to right foot to even make a simple 5 yard pass giving wingers and midfielders the time to double up on hazard. and considering the fact that our attacking play has looked shit, we have no width, and both our fullbacks (azpi and iva) cant cross a ball into the box, our play has become stagnant. on the other azpi as a RB is a different story altogether. baba has shown to be more than a handful as an attacking fullback with good overlapping runs, getting behind the defence, providing width and some good crosses. all in all, i dont how or in what scenario does a zouma-azpi partnership beat a azpi-baba partnership.

cant believe that there is even a question of who to start as a LB. baba a LB as a LB, azpi a RB as a RB. or zouma a CB as a RB, azpi a RB as a LB.

whose fault is that? jose inherited a squad which boasted of AMs like hazard, mata, oscar, kdb. we added schurrle and willian to that. we had moses in line. after that we have wasted 38mil on a RW and still have no one. add to that the fact that willian (30mil) and pedro(21mil) hardly seem like the answers. so all in all, 90mil on one RW position and yet, the most improtant aspect of our RWs is to cover for iva. sorry, but all of it points to one man and one man only.
