dude, i get what u r saying. even i am thinking about long-term. this club can not AFFORD to lose jose (which will happen if we dont win the PL/CL) and for the life of me i cant see how costa/torres/DD would help us in that. costa WILL get injured or have a poor form. if we were to re-play villa away and palace away in a similar position as last season, i dont see how a DD/torres would help in case costa is injured. we are better than we were last season, no doubt. but so are city. their defence with the acquisition of mangala will be shored up. they have a good back-up in fernando to yaya-fernandinho. i dont see them having as poor a start as they did last season. also, the last season flattered us cos we won 6 points over both the teams that finished above us. even if we lose/draw a game, it means we have a 10/7 point gap to close against city which is massive. and lukaku could easily be the player who gives us that edge. maybe DD can do that too but i dont expect that off him (and lets not even include torres here). at the end, if we dont win, jose will be sacked. which sets us back 5 years easily. the managerial merry go round will continue. bamford, baker, boga, solanke, musonda type talents would be wasted.

i think after last season it was CONFIRMED by either napoli or by chelsea that they had no contact with each other.

u mean this guy

the board dint do bad in the sturridge case? so it was RDM and FSW who simply kept sturridge on the bench while torres slept on the pitch? sturridge was "injured" with us on 31st dec and yet fit enough to play every game for pool after that!!! the board forced the issue. if getting 12mil is the only criteria of a "good business" then yes they did good, but unfortunately, it simply is not. lamps wanted to leave on multiple occasions, JT was close to joining city, sure they dint put in a transfer request (apparently which lukaku did) but they are still club legends. lukaku right now is important for us. we cant afford to not win the PL this season which is exactly what we are heading for if our strikers are costa, DD, torres. its simply not good enough to win the league. IF jose actually talked to lukaku yet lukaku wants this move, then FUCK HIM. he can go and put a ball up his ass. but i simply cant see a reason why lukaku would want a move to everton after (supposedly) been promised the 2nd striker role. i mean he has made it clear that he wants to play football for the very best of teams, yet he would willingly take a step (or 2) backwards. he has said on multiple occasions that he wants to play in the CL, which he simply wont get anywhere near to in everton. i just dont get why lukaku would WANT this move.
-
nothing at all in the tabloids about this!!! seems the weekly "lukaku transfer round up" to me. whats worse is that he probably is set to be the 2nd striker and is "willing to fight for the spot" and yet just cos of his past discretions, all the BS transfer news is given way too much priority. i mean since the start of the season, lukaku has almost joined monaco, RM and juve about 3 times and then there is everton who keep bobbing up bi-weekly!!!
-
mata and kdb WERE good businesses. sturridge was almost forced out by the managers/board/ROMAN just so that we could make torres the alpha dog. getting 12mil for sturridge was "good", but the board got themselves into the situation. as for lukaku, he is an IDIOT. an idiotic, 21 year old over-grown idiot!!! he has 2 years on his contract. a lot could have changed in that time. we have the best manager in the world who should have "managed" the situation better. we have bought a player who lukaku sees as a role-model. also how do u think we wont miss him? costa as a first striker is GREAT, but having a 36 year old DD and a guy who does THIS (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVtLxQXFEjI), is suicidal for a team having PL and CL aspirations.
-
talk to me when u get something else to say!!! tired of having the same argument!!! as for not "needing" lukaku. please!!! just like we dint "need" sturridge!!
-
24mil is a very good business. its as good a business as selling sturridge for 12mil was!!! oh wait!!! we all know how that turned out!!!
-
Nothing on SKY SPORTS or BBC except for the martinez interview!!!
-
I hope u r joking!!! Remy? 20 goals? Ahead of lukaku?
-
moses would be as 6th AM. playing a total of 500 minutes in the season. we dont need moses. we do NEED lukaku. not just cos he is HG but cos of our striker options. going into the season with costa as the 1st striker and DD and FT as the only back-up is not just stupid but downright suicidal. pogba? how does pogba make us any better? does he score 20 goals a season? we dont need pogba. we have cesc, matic, rambo, mvg. adding pogba spoils the dynamics. as does selling lukaku.
-
Love it, love it, absolutely loving it!!! Boga, brown, baker, solanke probablt bamford in a couple of seasons. Ake and chirstensen already there. Expecting atleast 2/3/4 of them to make it big. Suprising that their is no mention of RLC!!!
-
Another HG player?? Who exactly are u talking about?People so easily speak of transfers like its a child's work. Do tell me who would be lukaku's replaxement? This HG player that we are talking abiut!!!
-
Sellong lukaku COMPLICATES the problem rather than solving it. If we sell him then3 strikers are non-HG 5 AMs are non-HG. atleast 3 CM/DM are non-HG. 3 defenders are non HG. All 3 GKs are non HG. Which means we will still have to get rid of mikel and romeu and play baker as the 5th DM and boga as the 6th AM. We don't have the luxury of selling lukaku. It has to be torres and /or mikel.
-
I don't believe that price tag for a second. We are desperate to sell him and know how big a hindrance his salary will be. I think we will sell him for half of it.
-
Its not stupidity to think that bamford WILL be better than lukaku. But saying lukaku is as bad as bamford and torres cos he scores half his goals in pens is ... well...
-
in short, u want us to be like arsenal. tell me what has arsenal won it the last 10 years? an FA cup? i am sorry dude, but it seems that roman, the board, JOSE and the club as whole put more precendence on success rather than the future of players like mceachran and kakuta who have been said to have a problem with even training. but u know what, jose has just included ake and andreas in the first team squads. 2 youth players. while saying that people like bamford, chalobah might be a part in coming years. but hell to that, we should just send a team of U-21s for the PL.
-
CR is better than messi - opinion. djemba djemba is better than messi - not an opinion. downright stupidity. its fine though. in the name of "opinion" we can literally say anything we want to. though i love it that u have a problem with lukaku's mentality but are willing to shell out 30mil for balo. BRILLIANT!!! how suprising though that the striker said to be as good as bamford is actually being rumored to be on RM's shopping list!!! weird!!! anyways, i RESPECT your opinion. so bye-bye.
-
lukaku was MOTM cos he scored and assisted and changed the GAME!!! replacement? better replacement? who? please tell me who? remy? the one relegated with qpr and a below mid table newcastle loanee bony? who would easily cost 20mil pound and is hardly a better player or has a higher ceiling oh wait, u think bamford is better than lukaku. so probably vanwolfswinkel would be a good replacement!!!
-
baker was used as a CAM by jose but i would say that was cos of our lack of options upfront with none of oscar, willian, hazard available. right now we have 4 places done for the CM/DM spots (cesc, matic, rambo, mvg). we have the option of romeu and mikel. if we choose nat over them, it will solely be cos of HG. would rather take baker if thats the case.
-
not even close to ready for us. would rather take baker over him.
-
i dint compare dzeko to lukaku but i gave u an analogy of how useful the 2nd or even the 3rd strikers are!!!! having DD and torres as those 2 will be nothing short of suicide. dzeko will be our 2nd striker but since we dont have dzeko or bony or balo or mandzukic, we should take our next best thing to be our 2nd striker who is ROMELU LUKAKU. lukaku was as poor as belgium were in the 1st 2 matches. he dint play the 3rd match. was the MOTM in the 4th and one of the better players against argentina. "he cribs a lot"... i have had enough of this BS. you know what, the only person whose opinion i care about is JOSE. and guess what, he is willing to give lukaku a chance. our manager, JOSE MOURINHO, probably the best manager in the world, thinks he is good enough. dont need to read childish and repetitive views about lukaku. "his mentality is fragile" yet our manager is willing to give him such a massive responsiblity. you can "dislike" him all you want (and even sprout nonsense like he just scores from pens, or mentality is fragile etc etc), at the end of the day, he is a chelsea player and a massive prospect, one which jose thinks is ready and good enough.
-
did u see the goal where lukaku goes past jamie? or his run against USA in the WC! lukaku running at a tired defence is PERFECT for closing out games. those clips are just examples. lukaku does create something out of nothing specially when the opponent is chasing. as for him scoring 50-50 chances, it should not even be up for debate.
-
will wallace and traore play? the best chance for wallace to make an impression.
-
creates something out of nothing and in the other one scores from a half chance. costa is better than lukaku, torres, 36 year old DD and bamford. so does that mean we dont need any of them? every striker goes thru a lean patch. costa will too. even in a good patch their might be matches where we are tied at 0-0 and need a second striker to come in and change the game, lukaku would be perfect for that. remeber his performance against pool (for wba) in the 3-0 win when he came off the bench, or his performance against usa in the WC!!! dzeko is no where as good as aguero in anything yet being the 3rd striker, he was one of the main reasons for city winning the PL. thats what good options do for u. ps - a serious question. did u just go to whoscored.com and see lukaku's weaknesses listed as "passing" and "defensive contribution" and simply reproduced it here??? cos any1 who knows lukaku would easily say that his passing is fine, but his main weakness is his first touch which is probably championship-striker level.
