  1. Our board has done some tremendous job in buying the big names and selling the "big names". But when it came to reserve players, we have sold them at a very nominal price. Pva for 1.5mil, ba for 4.8 mil, kakuta for free.
  2. to have legends come and train with us is fine. but pay them their salaries while they are players of other teams and will have no part to play for us is unheard of. i have not seen THIS happening. moreover dude, how hard is it to get it that city NEEDED him to fulfil their HG quota. boyata, clichy, hart, lescott, milner, richards, rodwell, nimely and wright. from these players they will be losing richards, rodwell, lescott and probably boyata. he is a NYCFC player which is owned by city. so they are basically helping themselves to a player that is theirs to use. what do u want them to do? send lamps melbourne and buy some 10mil shit from stoke as their HG option? i dont think its charity but just common sense. also what "spite"? we are reading too much between the lines when their would be nothing at all. jose does not seem to be hassled by this. infact the only person hassled by it so far is arsene.
  3. He is a CFC legend and 2 years down the road he WILL be on our coaching staff but we are not a charity here. Zola was a legend but I don't think we would give him a coaching job just for the sake of it.And this is what considering the fact that city would let it happen or that FL would accept this "charity". He is still a pro footballer and with it comes some integrity.
  4. I don't think jose wanted to sell him. If we had wanted to sell him, he would have been sold. I mean we sold ba, pva, lukaku, luiz for some excellent deals. Kakuta fetched as much as he could and I am sure bertrand would have been sold if we needed him to be.Finding a club for mikel would have been no issue. But jose seems to rate him as out 2nd DM ahead of romeu, nat. So that should settle it.
  5. Why will we pay him 4mil (or since it is half a season 2mil) to train with us? Why would city/new york pay him for doing that when they NEED him cos he perfectly fits their HG criteria!!!
  6. so basically we did a hilario with mark!!!
  7. Costa offered so much more than goal threat. But when the mid is being over run, a striker can do only so much. Infact the best thing a striker can do is change the tide of the match with an easy clear cut chance. Torres dint. But considering the fact that u think torres was okay/good, its hard to make u understand it. Infact what exactly was good abiut torrea today dude? His miss at the far post from the cross? His one on one miss? I remeber barbara stating in the match thread that torres had lost the ball 3 times and fucked up our attack in the first 10 minutes itself. Or was it that he gave the ball away which led to the goal? I mean what exactly was it that made his performance good.
  8. I could not bring myself to read after "torres did okay today". Can't be having an argument with someone who thinks that.
  9. Go and read the comment that I quoted rather than jumping down a man's throat. Also see who brought lukaku up.
  10. I know. But people should not be ridiculing or saying things which are false either.
  11. if it was lukaku playing instead of torres on the wing and those chances fell to him, i can bet anything that he would have scored.
  12. jose cant possibly be thinking of going into the season with costa, 36 year old DD and this donkey as our strikers.
  13. this is coming from a guy who thought that selling torres at a cut price is playing FIFA. just to be sure, torres is STILL one of the most popular players in the world. for most of the world, chelsea is the bad guy while torres is still a good striker. at the end of the last season, villa was hopelessly out of form, just came back from an injury. so u know, dont be so clueless. just use that mind-thing once in a while.
  14. poor performance. infact a "nothing" performance. but have to say that the manner of the defeat was very like the ones we are accustomed to. 1-0 down to a penalty (or a lucky goal). could have been 1-1 but instead our great striker who never gets any service misses a clear cut chance, and we concede another to be 2-0. struggle to break an organised defence and yada yada yada. too familiar a script to be ignored and simply put under the "its a pre-season game so who cares" category.
  15. Atm was a big club compared to barca at that piint of timr?I am sure yiu would have been one of those pundits who had predicted that atm would win la loga and reach CL final. "Not for torres" cos out manager seems to have some weird misformed faith in his useless abilities that is the only reason why we are not able to do that with torres. Are u telling me that there is no club in the world who would want to buy a massively cut price torres despite his wages? Or that torres would not want to fuck off the club if he was given the boot by our manager and told to fuck off and find hinself a new club? That's jyst lol.
  16. What the fuck!!! I give u actual fucking numbers and u think I am playing fifa?? A perfect reply of someone who has no bloody clue about things and simply tries to pin on the other person. We sold essien for free? Why? His wages were so immense that no way could milan have been able to pay a fee as well as pay his wages. I know this is not fifa yet this is what happens in the real world.Just last season barca sold villa for 2 mil when they had bought him for 40mil. Why? To get him off there books. This was also no fifa. Get a clue about the real world and then talk mate!!! Don't just blurt stuff out!!
  17. ATM, monaco , Wolfsburg and one point inter milan were rumored to be interested in him. But we werr reported to be hokding out for 20mil or so. Torres won't be short of offers cos of his popularity, that is for sure.
  18. While I totally agree about lukaku ( that it was not jose who chose to sell him but rather lukaku who chose to flee to everton), I totally disagree about torres. If we want we can rid torres without any hassle from FFP. In 2013-14 our FFP bill for the strikers was Etoo - 8mil Torres - 19mil Ba - 6mil Lukaku - 1mil. A total of 34 mil. Right now our FFP bill for 2014-15 for strikers is Torres - 19mil Lukaku - 20.8mil (profit) Ba - 0.7 mil (profit) Costa - 16mil Dd- 4mil A total of 17.5mil. Even if we sell torres for 5mil pounds, he will cost us 13mil in totality (loss not profit) plus lets say we buy remy/chicha/striker x for a transfer of 15mil at high wages of 100kpw (a total of 8mil in FFP terms) our total expenditure on the strikers for 2014-15 comes to be close to 22 mil. Torres is still here cos jose wants him to be, no other reason.
  19. This game proves exactly what torres is!!! Can't score if his penis is on the line for it!!! I have said it before and I ll say it again. Having costa , dd and torres as our 3 options is a recipe for disaster. It WILL come back to bite us in the ass.
  20. Seems like someone wants to gloat to his mates!!!
  21. But but but... torres is still a chelsea player!!! He doea not get any service and we should not let our personal feelings crowd our judgement!!!
  22. Mikel was a 22 year old at the start of 2009-10 season. Under carlo he got to play close to 5400 minutes in the 2 seasons. This was despite the fact that we had ballack, lamps, essien, deco, belleti, and then ramires in the next season.Saying carlo dint favor mikel is wrong. Many a times did carlo say that mikel was very important Ps- I myself want mikel sold and romeu to be given a chance. But like everything else, if jose thinks mikel is a better option than romeu for us, then so be it!!!
