I'd prefer not to spend that kind of money on something I'd see as a "Yeah it might work". Especially if people are talking about £25m for Lukaku... Mikel is brilliant at what he does, has massive shoes to step into (makalele) but I think he's doing great when played, I don't see how selling him would benefit us apart from if we signed someone better than him at what he's doing now, If Essien is playing holding now then I think we still need some more players for cover, we can't afford to have just one player who can play the holding role.

We need to keep faith in Carlo for sure. It's ridiculous that he can't choose his own assistant manager, but I think he's quality. If for any reason he did go, would love to see Hiddink back if he was available, already knows most of the players, Chelsea staff etc etc... sensible choice would be him but ONLY IF Carlo was gone.
