  1. It looks pretty good to me, they're doing well
  2. They're not really playing with a striker
  3. He looks alright but maybe he could be concussed?
  4. Belgium in complete control so far.
  5. We all know Sturridge is a very good player and it's shocking he didn't get any games at CF last season...He got one half at Blackburn and that's it. Our team's top goalscorer who was playing out of position didn't get one sniff at the position he wanted to play. I thought he deserved at least 5 games as a striker. I actually think Sturridge is a great option as backup striker. If Torres doesn't start scoring, Sturridge will shine at CF. He could make the position his own at Chelsea.
  6. Hulk's played for Brazil ten times I think.
  7. It just looks pulled back. lol
  8. We could not have won the CL at a better time.
  9. Thank you Salomon for 58 goals and 40 assists.
  10. Yeah because when a 19 year old suffers a dip in form, he's terrible.
  11. Yeah, if you check out any Japanese team in the J. League, they will have at least one Brazillian on the squad.
  12. Are you comparing Modric to Mikel and Romeu?
  13. Some people are just paranoid. Don't worry guys, this will happen.
  14. Torres to start vs. South Korea today. Mata too.
  15. I'm really conflicted on how I feel about this. I think Di Matteo should get the job, but I have huge doubts over what he can actually achieve. Deep down I might favor Pep coming here, but I'm not sure about that either. Di Matteo and/or Guardiola could be huge flops.
  16. I said this about 10 or 20 pages back, but Torres was essential to our squad down the stretch last season. He did not contribute the way we had expected, but he really did make a massive impact in both CL and FA Cup play. He had three goals and four assists in the Champions League. We all know that this is not enough, but it was significant. His goal at the Camp Nou could have saved our Champions League dreams; I'm sure most of us watching had a sickening feeling that Barcelona were going to score at the last moment. He relieved all of those fears with a cool finish, rounding poor Victor Valdes. His crucial assist against Benfica was also important, providing a crucial away goal with a great pass to a charging Salomon Kalou. We won the tie 3-1 on aggregate, needing a late Meireles screamer to settle it. At risk for being a bit underwhelming, it is worth being mentioned that did win us the corner that lead to Didier Drogba's game-saving header in the Champions League Final. It was the ONLY corner Chelsea had all 88 minutes. He came on as a substitute and, whatever way he could in our system, made a massive impact. (I also personally think he had appeals for a penalty) He showed intense determination when he showed his frustration (when not being picked in the first 5 penalty takers). It may be a bit disrespectful to RDM, but he is showing the fire he had in his Liverpool days. Whether or not he's a "£50m player," he made a significant impact on our successful Champions League and FA Cup runs and I think Fernando Torres deserves some credit. I'm very pleased for him and I actually back him to succeed here next season. With Mata, Hazard and Hulk behind him pulling the strings, we may yet see our #9 be the success we dreamed of.
  17. I'd stick to Ramires on the right and bring Javi Martinez in to pair with Mikel.
  18. Has been reiterated before, but Meireles is a great option off the bench! Hope he stays.
