  1. I was calling him an idiot for being suspended.
  2. Thanks for your magnificent performances vs. Barcelona, Raul! Best of luck.
  3. Romeu must be thrilled with the decision to let Meireles leave, he'll surely get chances this year now.
  4. With Benayoun and Essien going on loan and Meireles apparently being sold, I guess Malouda has to be used now... I've seen him play in the pivot very well with France; unlikely, but maybe he's seen as an emergency option there. He's quite sound defensively and can play in the midfield...I actually think he could do a job. It's to be seen if he'll ever be used next to Mikel (probably not), but interesting to think about.
  5. I'm very, very irritated with this. I thought Michael Essien to Madrid was questionable, but getting rid of Meireles too? I don't get the logic behind this...
  6. I'd be 100% okay with that, Mata could do with some extra rest along with the 2 week break.
  7. Cech Azpi - Cahill - Terry - Cole Mikel - Meireles Moses - Mata - Hazard Sturridge

  10. We were probably trying to rip them off, similar to the Torres fiasco.
  11. For whatever reason, I was on the Spurs' twitter page today and I viewed who they follow:
  12. We wouldn't have lost 1-4 last night if he was available for selection. Idiot.
  13. This match was a sobering reality check, but I'm not as bothered as some of you. We still have to find our best starting XI, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't include Ivanovic or Lampard. Shocked at how Ivanovic has been playing, makes me wonder if missing the CL final did a number on him?
  14. 2 players per position basically, with several players capable of filling in other areas effectively. I think we're okay, considering we also have Malouda, who is experienced and sometimes pretty decent.
  15. We didn't get that 3rd striker, but it's not that bad. Torres, Sturridge, and Hazard/Mata/Moses could fill in.
  16. Dempsey signing for Spurs...interesting. VDV had 13 goals last year, Dempsey had 23... Have to hand it to Tottenham...I thought they would have fallen apart, but they've somehow strengthened.
  17. Obviously I wasn't expecting the score to be 1-4, but I did have a sneaky feeling that we were going to lose... Quick talking points: Lampard-Mikel, never again please. Ivanovic needs to be benched, for now. David Luiz is starting to worry me. Mata and Hazard weren't that great, Hazard better than Mata. On Torres, wasn't a bad performance, but obviously wasn't a good one. Once we see consistent play from the three behind him, it will be okay. I liked what I saw from Oscar. After another unconvincing Lampard performance, I'm thinking Oscar should get a start next to Mikel. I'm very biased when it comes to Mikel, but I do not like the Lampard-Mikel duo at all. Mikel's shown that he can play fluid football with this team, partnered with Meireles. Oscar-Mikel might work very nicely. I feel sorry for Ramires. Arguably our best player last year, but it doesn't seem like he fits. The only way he can play in this side is if we resort back to a 4-3-3 or change it up to a 4-3-2-1. and finally, RDM was poor tonight. Unconvincing substitutions and boring tactics. Ramires at RW is poor; I personally prefer Bertrand on the left.
