I know it is a bit in advance, but i just read that Charlie Adam is suspended for our game after this against Blackpool......we will muller them without him in the team
-
Plus Nani will be diving all over the place in this one.
-
Definately Anelka and Torres up front then, Smalling would have been able to handle Drogba at the minute comfortably
-
I remember after the Ipswich game Carlo said Josh had surprised him due to his strength in the tackle and he is now ready to start a PL game. Since then I not sure if he has even been on the pitch in the PL. Sure we don't want to rush him but at the same time if managers and players are raving about his ability then he should be playing when things are not going well (the Liverpool game was crying out for a bit of creativity). Re: Carlo's comments Wilshere had a season on loan before playing regularly for Arsenal are we gonna do the same next year with Josh??
-
Scrap that, i forgot Lamps!!!!....unchanged side from that in Denmark - Mikel could get sent off in this game.
-
Our games against them are always decided in midfield......Essien Mikel and Ramires have to play in this game......the way Anelka and Torres combined in Denmark mean they should be the front 2. The back 5 picks itself. The only question for me is do we drop Malouda for Zhikov on the left??. Personally I would stick with Malouda for this one and I think Carlo will to.
-
Would you play Anelka over Drogba in a 4-4-2 when they are both fit then??
-
I think it is nailed on he will leave and he is starting to sulk. However I don't think he has been treated the best by Carlo. For us to play 4-4-2 with width and not include him is harsh. If the reason behind it was due to the 120 mins played against Everton then fine, but Anelka has been preferred to Drogba as the lone striker in big games this season and it has never worked. Also if you look at goals and assists per games started for this year, Drogba is ahead of Torres and Anelka.
-
If Mikel does play he has to watch a few of his tackles early doors......don't get booked in the first 10 minutes....
-
That could work, Torres scares the sh*t out of Vidic and Ferdinand when up front alone.......
-
Maybe in some games but not against Utd we need to win the midfield battle in this one - Essien or Ramiers on the right...
-
Bos to weak to play in midfield for me

Sergio Aguero joins the other Manchester club

Are Athletico still skint??, will they need to cash in on him sometine soon? -
Seems to be a confidence type player and being in and out of the side does not help. At least give him the same chances as Malouda
-
Plus Inter really rode thier luck against Barca in the Nou camp remember when they had that late goal disallowed??. To win champs league the manager needs to get his tactics spot on over 2 legs and there is no better manager at doing that than Mourinho. The final is obviously a one off game so a number of factors come into play that determine the evenutual winners.
-
I dont think 3 at the back, that is the tatic for a smash and grab win and we can't do that at home. Plus Ferguson f**cks up the tactics against us usually and is likely to drop Berbatov and go 4-5-1.
-
I'd go with that but Malouda on the left. He likes more touches of the ball and if they play Rafael at right back he is likely to lose his head in this game and get sent off.
-
How much would it cost us to but Hiddink out of his contract though??. I'm sure Roman will go for him should Carlo leave but he seems a pretty honourable guy..
-
Not getting in the top4 does not even bear thinking about, it HAS to happen.....12 games left though guys we can still manage it comfortably....
-
Agree with your comments but £6million a year softens the blow don't it??. Just looked at Spurs fixtures and their last 3 away games are us, Man City and Liverpool..how many points will they drop there???
-
Roman will not have Jose back anyway....to many bridges have been burned...
-
Ok Agreed, will reserve judgement till the end of the season..yes Luiz, Ramires, Torres and Yossi were good buys. quote name='justin_3d' timestamp='1298476216' post='184898'] And how much Real Madrid spend just to win, and can never keep a coach? One bad season should not be a problem. If he did good last season, and bad this season, then ok it's avg. But if his next season is worse, then that's case for concern. The Real Madrid model is wrong, and that is what most fans at Chelsea seem to want....which is not what i want. If we screw up this season, we screw up. But next season Chelsea will come back with a vengeance. You can already see the good buys Carlo has done with Ramires and David Luiz. Let him build his team, and then we will judge.
-
i'm not saying Carlo is unacceptable just the league results this year are but there is 12 games to go and we are still right in the mix.. I think as a person he is a nice bloke and I would honestly love to see him do really well long term at Chelsea. I just worry he wont be able to get us in the top 4 which would be a disaster. To be fair though he turned it around last year and the players do seem to want to play for him, lets hope he can do it again... With regards to my mentality, obviously with the money we have spent naturally makes me more expectant that the team do well. obviously we will not win every game and a trophy every year but I do not think it unreasonable that we should be competing on all fronts??
-
I started watching Chelsea under Ian Porterfield - so trust me mate I am no glory hunter!! I can see your pro Carlo but at the end of the day it is Roman's opinion that will matter most....
-
Dont panic if we dont. Spurs have Man City, Liverpool and us as thier last 3 away games...
